Heh. Shattered Glass Ravage is cool but hoping for some Ramhorn (Tempo) and Steeljaw (Motif) and Rewind & Eject (Pitch & Forte) action soon. Link to thread #4 about them for good measure.

So is that a prototype or do mold/casting lines just show up that much more on light colors?

Also, PSX exclusive or TFCon Orlando?

 

Nice, hopefully a Sundor wont be far behind. What would be really cool is this ended up as a set with the first release of their Eject/Rewind mold as Rosanna.

I’m so happy we’re gonna get the boys. Hopefully at some stage we’ll get Sundor and Rossana.

 

Given all three are essentially repaints of existing molds (unless Rosanna is based off the upcoming E&R instead of existing F&R), and extensive re-use of a mold is MMC's favorite thing, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the three to be PSX or convention exclusives throughout the year. If so, wonder how much that decision impacts getting any of the new mold ones out in 2020. Maybe Rosanna will be done off the mold for Eject & Rewind and we'll get those two this year in a two-pack, with Ramhorn and Steeljaw to follow first half of 2021.

Rosanna is based on Eject/Rewind so it will be that mold. As for impacting new molds I don't believe it would affect it at all (in that the impact would exist in some form whether it was this or not). MMC has been doing exclusives for every TFCon so that is essentially a dedicated production slot that wouldn't be available for a major retail release anyway, and we don't want the Autobot Cassettes to be limited as a convention exclusive. Until the molds themselves are made it also wouldn't affect it at all since they can't produce the figures without the molds. I've never made molds, but I assume the mold making process is at a separate location than the production line that produces figures so again no interference.

 

I feel like SG Ravage would need a new head. The toys were identical, but the comic appearance of SG Ravage had a much more rounded look.

 

I'd want the mouth to be more friendly, like a smile, and he comes with a little magnetic cellphone you can stick to his hands. Maybe also some more poseability with his front legs to look like both hands are holding onto the cellphone or snapping a selfie.

I brought that up as well. Hopefully it will be discussed with the team in future. It’d be a shame if he got left behind. And I wanna get my hands on this tape mould.

 

Cool, then it's possible we'll see that as the first use of the mold like the black repaint of Azalea came to market first.

I can't fathom why anyone would even think that was a possibility or worth mentioning.

The birds didn't sell as well so perhaps there's a slight chance they won't do Sundor but in general MMC tends to complete teams.

 

It is worth mentioning simply because it is being brought up to do the Autobot Cassettes instead of the planned Convention Exclusive. Since they are going to do a Convention exclusive, doing them instead of the convention exclusive repaint would end up being an exclusive to fill their plan.

Sundor may actually do better than Laserbeak/Buzzsaw since he is not a cartoon character with quite as firmly established a size. I know he was in some comic somewhere which did have a size, but most people simply won't be as strict about it as with the cartoon characters and it could give them a chance to have a Remix mold they may not have gotten otherwise (I have no idea how Garboil did, but that was a two pack wasn't it? that would hurt it with some people).
