That applies to the Fanstoys and DX9 Stunticons. The XTB Stunticons' bot and alt modes scale with the TT cars in both modes.

 

Oh, I wasn’t having a dig. I don’t want to dredge up the scale wars again (my own personal view: it’s impossible to get the scale exactly right in both individual robot and combined modes, so some fudging is inevitable). It just illustrates where the different companies have put their priorities, size-wise.

I’m not a scale nut myself, I’m into this MMC set purely because of the interesting engineering. It’s the innovation that has me hooked more than anything.

 

Not really... The "limb bots" alt-modes are almost carbot sized. FT make their Stunticons big because they thought they should be big!

 

I think people would be surprised how many are fine with combiners being around 45cm. I think Zeta is awesome and I would totally vouch for their product but that toy world constructor height is too big for me personally. I get the call for uniformity but I think it’s better that there are options among the companies. I don’t want to manipulate a 20+ inch figure. XTB seems to have felt a bit of pressure to advertise an extra cm on their set. I say let it be.

 

Excellent. So these will fill out the rest of my 'bot mode Combaticons. Maybe I'll even sell my UTs.

 

I’m sure there are many people. I’d say no harm done. Also I just really want XTB Menasor to be taller cause I’ve started buying the set lol.

 

The difference of 1cm on a half metre figures is gonna be negligeable.

Now if it was 5cm then 10% of the height is definately noticeable and you'd probably have cause for concern.

FT is slightly taller but dx9 stunts are pretty much the same height as these. I didn't realise these are that tall.

Did anyone inform on this project? Specifically the big changes to the design and how it will reflect on the releases of this set?

 

Nah, there was just the already revealed slides at the panel, and a new GIF that didn't work during the panel which MMC threw up on facebook.

 

I'm still hoping someone went up to MMC's people asked some straight forward questions.

 

What changes specifically?

 

The biggest notable change in design is Onslaught's chest from toy inspired to toon inspired. That's a big change look-wise.

This is MMC, repaints are their thing.

I 100% guarantee there will be a toy version after this and a ruination version after that. Then a full toon animation cell version in a year. If you're angry they changed cancel or sell the one you paid for and wait.

 

You know they already announced both a toy and toon version yeah? These aren't redesigns, they've just shown both.

 

If that's true then why are people demanding an answer from MMC to justify the change on the combiner chest? Wtf is going on here?
