Any particular advantage in ordering from PSX over a retailer like ToyDojo? I assume I'll get it quicker, but are they as easy to deal with if there are any issues?

This preview from @Paik4Life of some test shots shows you how big these guys are:
Almost too big when it comes to Onslaught, but I can forgive it to make the integrated parts combiner work without being tiny.

PSX will have stock first, but it's not unheard of for their shipments to overseas consumers to take a while, which can negate any speed advantage. PSX often has exclusive accessories for MMC products that aren't available anywhere else, but it's up to personal judgment how important they are. Lastly, more of each sale dollar at PSX goes back to MMC, so if supporting MMC is meaningful to you, that's one consideration.

For customer service for an MMC product bought at any retailer, often it's faster to deal with MMC itself, though I imagine going through PSX is almost the equivalent of going to MMC directly.

I'm glad the main grey was changed, but I'm curious as to why the accent color is such a bright pure blue---both the G1 toy and G1 toon are less saturated, and more teal than pure blue.

Has Vortex ever had bright blue?

I love the vivid, saturated colors, it's super appealing for botmode display and probably looks great combined as well.

The UT shuttle and vortex bots are so dark and dreary on the shelf they practically disappear in shadow.

Considering we have two full sets of MP combaticons in dreary drab, I wouldn't mind a set going for the brighter shades more reminiscent of the Unite Warriors set from Takara, which was beautiful.

Nah it's not pure blue. The exact pantone is 7700C. This color:

If you've ever seen photos of other toys that have turquoise/teal you'll know its one of those infamous colors that can easily look more pure blue in certain photos due to lighting conditions / camera settings etc.

And I'd say the og toy had a pretty saturated accent color.

Will this be going to other retailers besides PSX? Vortex looks amazing, I'm really excited.

I have to be honest, I greatly appreciate MMC posting an actual cutoff date for free shipping.

Often it's a crapshoot gamble as to whether or not I'll order early enough to get it but late enough to not have to put money down.

Incidentally, MY that Vortex looks good.

That free shipping is a good impetus for preordering Impetus...

I would pre-order, but given its approximate release date I might wait and see if I can get a copy at TF-nation

the "squeeze the thighs together" solution is so elegant I'm surprised it hasn't been used more often.

I need to sell more things on eBay. TFCon cometh and I have no idea what exclusives are going to be available with that.

I have Zeta for combined but this is looking extremely tempting for a bot mode display. I just wish he was less of a chunky monkey in the torso.

Here's hoping for some hands on reports from TFCON.

The face sculpt/deco is really great, and the visor really pops.

Though I'd forgotten how plain his overall cartoon deco is. Wonder if any of the considered alternate deco releases (assuming they end up happening) will include the G1 toy decal details.

I'll wait for more pics then---the Pantone swatch looks pretty spot-on to the show.

On top of variations from lighting in photography, third-party companies don't use actual Pantone dyes (they're expensive), so color matching to the swatch is done by eye at the factory.
