Just push down on Incursus' head to light up the eyes.

 

In combined mode, use the slot in the back of the head to press it down.

 

Oooh, I hadn't thought of using a phone's SIM-card tool, that's a good idea.

 

Aren't the ratchets come prelubed at the factory?

 

The ones sr388 and I are dealing with, have been bone dry. Don't recall seeing any lube in the hips when I opened those up either.

Please take note, for Maximas Pro! ratchet joints need proper lubrication to work well and last a long time.  

 

No, like @David Hingtgen said, all dry, but once lubed, all works very nicely.

My onslaught version is the reissue and it seems that ratchet port for the combine mode is the fixed version, so I guess the spring is stronger.

Even with the lube, the ratchet supports the weight of blastoff properly without any loose, so all good.

Now waiting for brawl reissue to get the full combiner  

 

Nice pick-up on the crotch adjustment @David Hingtgen ! WOW, never knew this was adjustable!! Did someone say the G2 repaint set is going ahead or did I read it wrong?

howdy my brothers (and sister @Bruticus88 ), got a DIY question for all those who are savvy at pulling apart there Assaultus team members. Has anyone opened the large olive green block on the back of Incursus that the large silver cannons retract from?? I may need to do some work on mine y'see...... and are astonished to see how few screw holes there are on this thing!!!! Maybe thats a prerequisite for being a 3P Masterpiece scaled bot - conceal as many screw holes as possible for a seamless finish??

I haven't opened that part up, but I can tell you that the muzzle-tips of the cannons are separate pieces that aren't glued in, and may go flying off unexpectedly if they get a lot of pulling force applied while fiddling around with the backpack. May wish to pull them off and store them
safely, before really "digging in". (though they are in fairly tightly, and would never come out in "normal play")

 

Many designs from JiYi are like that too.

 

Anyone able to give me a total height for this combined Assaultus (from the base of feet to its tallest point).
