Not sure if you're aware, but there's already a reissue up everywhere.

 

I have a preorder in at ShowZ just prefer not to wait another few months to finish the set.

 

That Saltus is particularly weird cause the original has that head as a smile with teeth.

 

If you want Incursus to come with the fixed joints I'd say it's best to wait for the reissue.

 

The face you've edited there is a smiling tooth expression, not an open mouth expression. And the teeth were painted on the final production copies.

 

He does sort of have a point though, in that the TFs weren't typically depicted with teeth (there's probably a few frames here and there where they did), so open-mouthed smiles were generally how they did it.

 

For the cartoon, that is correct. The comic however has MANY teeth.

I supposed I should have clarified as the 'toon art, specifically. Yeah, I know the comic art could get pretty crazy with the teeth, especially with Wildman, and the G2 art.

I honestly never noticed that until just looking it up now, haha.

Was gonna use Cliffjumper's as a better example but Springer's was the one that in my editing, managed to come out better.

My G1 MP collection will be done once I get ahold of MMC Protectobots and a MP Perceptor. Transitioning to Beast Wars stuff but if MMC OM puts out Superion I’m in. Menasor too. I’d have to sell off Dx9 or XTB Stunticons but yeah I’m in.

 

Anybody able to recommend a good flight stand for Impetus' helicopter mode?

 

Boy would I love a Superion just like Assaultus!

 

Sorry if its been talked about, but I wanted to know what are the chances of this set being made in G2 colors? Sphinx its the only product I remember MMC doing in G2 version.

 

They said they were doing G2.

... Then half of us complained they should do Baldigus/Ruination instead. The last official word was that G2 would be the only repaint, but it's been a few months and nothing's happened so far.

 

It’s looking very likely we’ll get a G2 version if they do plan on doing a redeco.

 

Thanks a lo t guys. Really hope it becomes a real thing. I don’t yet have this set, and I love how the individual bots came out, just looking for a good excuse to buy this guys since I already have Zeta for combined mode and UT for bot modes (I already was half way into the set when I noticed MMC effort). This guys will go into my G2 shelf.

 

So, I now own Impetus/Vortex, and one of the first things I noticed, was that the rotor blades are actually aerodynamically profiled (look at the tip, from the side)----I don't know of any other heli-TF, HasTak or 3P, that does this. Is this a first for a helicopter alt-mode? (MP-03 is among the first jet-formers I know of with an accurate wing airfoil)

 

So for the repaint of this guy that's coming out, how long do you guys think it'll take to complete? Do you think they'll be regular releases or will they be convention exclusives? If it is G2 those seem to tend to be exclusives, which could make it a pain to get.
