I feel this idea at best would involve huge shell parts hanging off his arms and legs and that'd kind of ruin the entire appeal of Pexus being such a freely posable efficiently made toy. Kibble tends to fuck that up with tfs.

The articulation is REALLY being pushed as a selling point, like its supposed to blow our fucking minds.

Maketoys Striker Manus already did it.

It’s more than that. MMC Optus is based off of an existing beloved design. In addition to its iconic design Optus has way more articulation than the legendary Striker Manus, like way more.

Don’t get me wrong Striker Manus is a great figure and set the bar, BUT it looks like MMC Optus will set that bar even higher.

I see what you are referring to with the kibble on the arms. I do not disagree that the shell parts would make it more accurate. My personal belief is that this is an unlikely character to be made by any company, so most would forgive a little deviation (arms/legs without kibble) for the sake of getting a figure that is still 100 percent better than anything we currently have. A straight up repaint would be better than what we have in my opinion.

An entirely new mold would be nice but it does not seem very profitable in this situation. Pyro on his own will likely not sell the X amount of units they need. So it would become a situation where they would have to see how many other characters they could retool the mold for to make up revenue.

So You come in here being negative by talking bad about optus, Instead of going to the Striker Manus thread and talking good about him, I don't get it.

I didn't get why the fact it's a super articulated was being pushed so hard as big deal, when MT already did that.

But I've learned by Rob on here it's 10 times more articulated and represents a Prime people want, so now I get it.

As for being negative, cry more I guess? *shrugs

Considering MMC's past track record with making the Wreckers, I can see them retooling this into a Pyro... It totally goes along with the joke of him looking like Optimus too which I really like haha.. I feel as though it could make a good fit for a TF con exclusive, whenever the next one of those will be (not that I'm asking for it to be).. Kibble/panel wise I can totally see them making it all workout for Pyro. Also, considering how much of a cash cow Prime is, and all the subsequent repaints of this are no doubt gonna be (sign me up for a black and a purple one please). I don't think it would be that big of a loss to breakeven on a more obscure retool, you know?

I will relapse to physical collecting if this gets a Toxitron or equally beautiful redeco.

Half of me is saying PLEASE DO IT. The other half is secretly hoping they don’t. Lol.

Yeah, but they love to get a rise from people. Best to ignore them. Maybe if no one responds they'll fade from existence and have to spend their eternities trying to get someone to notice them.

    But no one ever does.

It's shiny and new. Anything old becomes obsolete.

It's marketing I guess. I have room for both though. MMC and Maketoys are the best.

Yeah the articulation didn’t blow me away like it did for a lot of people. It’s just another prime to me. Super articulated figures are awesome, but it gets stale when that’s the marketing of pretty much every MP figure as well as 3p figures. If it’s remolded as someone else I’ll consider it.

I know people have been arguing about which is better, but speaking about articulation, Generation Toys Bull (yes it's a transforming figure from a year ago) can already do pretty much everything this guy does. The only thing not as articulate is just the fingers.

Another prime for the Prime shelf! I’m going to make Striker Manus and this guy hug and grab each other’s Butt cheeks just to bury the hatchet that is the debate

The articulation thing is kind of a weird discussion.

I’m happy with it the way this figure is, as this is the Optimus design I’ve been wanting the most (other than maybe something based on Animated Prime).

I can’t deny it though. i know I’m apparently in the minority, but I’d actually prefer if this had less articulation in certain spots. The shoulders for example: I’d much rather they be accurate with the wheel integration into the chest than have an extra shoulder joint.

Either way, here’s hoping PSX ships him sooner than later. I want him
