Mine just arrived. Cool figure.

 

The repaint I want, and this is very niche, is a monochrome version of the Stormbringer look. Reason being, the version of Stormbring I have always had is the 'manga' trade paperback that IDW put out (Their understanding of Manga apparently being print it smaller and apply a B&W filter).

It was a very strange rerelease of the story by IDW, but given the tone of the story and the early idea of Cybertron being uninhabitable due to the war/Thunderwing, the murky and colourless printing kind of felt appropriate.

It would also double as a "dead Prime" recolour that we've seen on a few other Primes by now, but I don't expect it. Instead, I've ordered the new release  

 

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my pre-orer on TCP a few weeks back for the Stormbringer version. Hopefully it sticks around long enough for me to get it later!

 

I just recieved my Optus Prominion today. I love the look of it and the accessories are pretty fun. Can anyone confirm, are the back portions of the large black rifles supposed to be identical or are they supposed to be a left and right due to the folding and tabbing? Mine appear to be the same but it causes an issue for one of the guns not folding up flush and can't tab into itself.

 

I really do hope Nox gets a reissue soon along with OG Optus as I ended missing both. Nox was just too sweet and I kick myself for holding off on it.

 

They should be mirrored, not the same. You pull out, fold, push in, and it should tab in just fine on the left/right depending on which one it is.



Oh, right. Mine came with two little adapter pieces that have a tab on one side and a slot for another tab on the other end of it. What are those for?

 

If they're the pieces I'm thinking of, they attach the combined gun to the vehicle mode.

 

They're adaptors for the under forearms that make the existing tabbing area (previously for the older smaller rifles) compatible with the new larger rifles for attaching.

 

Ok thanks, that confirms it. Mine is defective. I contacted PSX and they are sending me a replacement rifle. Annoying problem but temporary.

 

Ah, that looks right. I didn't notice anything in the instructions about them and figured I had to be missing something. Looking again now, I still don't see them listed at all under accessories but they ARE present in the picture on the front of the instruction booklet. How weird.

Glad they took care of you so quickly! Look at it this way, you can have two big stonkin' shoulder cannons AND still have a hand held rifle now.

 

All I’m saying.. is at least one more repaint and we can do some really great Ginyu force poses

 

Exactly why I want a Toxitron above all else because it's the most radically different color scheme with its neon snot green yellow being its primary color it would be so so distinct and sickeningly eye catching in the best way and with the Ginyu force and Sentai teams all being wildly high contrast different colors yeah it won't feel right until Pexus' mold has covered the full spectrum.

 

Any hope of that Scourge idea resurfacing?

 

I have Optus Nox and it's one of my favorite figures. I promised myself not to get any more of the repaints but oh my goodness gravy Prominon looks amazing. Must resist.

I really want to buy only one of this mould.

I don't care about Optimus Prime.

I definitely am bored to tears with his classic colours.

And I've really set my eyes on the hopes we get a Diaclone Powered Convoy version...


...but seeing the pics of the Stormbringer version makes it really hard to resist. But I honestly wouldn't know what to do with it in my collection, whereas any other version I can think of some use.
