I honestly think you could paint this figure any colour and it would look (and feel) amazing. I guess this new one is the one for me.

PSX charges up front for POs, correct? I'm contemplating going through them for whatever the exclusive item will be, but I've never really felt like I missed out too much on those in the past, so I'm not sure.

 

Yeah they do. There's no exclusive here, but you do tend to get the figure first. I'm still waiting on D-Zef from one of my regular retailers, which is totally fine, but man, that anticipation..

 

I’m reluctant to get this figure. I really want the axe, and the shoulder weapons are cool, but I sort have the black version, and am having a hard time justifying another version of the mold.

If the Diaclone repaint includes the Stormbringer weapons, I’m pretty sure I’ll cave

Anywhere saying anything about another head style in the box?

I like both this repaint and the original, I dig the new head, and having the sword and axe, but I'm really after one with the broken faceplate as a must for that comic "to whom are you accountable" speech shot.

If this has that head in normal and cracked along with the one that's shown, I'm sold, but without it I guess I'm waiting for cracked faceplate head blue edition. (Since it came with Nox I think?)

 

I don't think we get to know the exclusives for R42 until very late down the road.

 

I am so glad I procrastinated getting a version of this mold, got a preorder in for this new one.

PSX intends the exclusives to be thank-yous, and not incentives, so they're never announced. Nobody knows what they are until the first customer in China receives it and puts up a pic.

Interesting. That looks like a tooled head, so either it's included with R-48P and not listed as an accessory, or they're saving it for some future iteration.
