MMC Reformatted extras are exclusive bonuses from Planet Steel Express (their online store partner). You would get them if you order from them directly.

 

I found it was too similar to the RTS jazz. While I think the GT jazz is a great figure, it wasn't exciting enough for me to feel it was worth what I paid. I ended up selling it off after a while and now I am left without a jazz in my collection haha.

 

I got the grey guns from Kapow Toys in the UK, but as far as I’m aware those that ordered him from Omegalock in the UK also got the grey guns. I don’t believe anywhere here was sold with the old head sculpt.

Not sure if it’s just those guys who have an exclusive deal type of thing with MMC.

 

The greys guns where exclusive to outside of Asia correct? I received them and I ordered from the chosen prime.

 

I can see that, but I did the opposite and sold my Maketoys Jazz for the GT version. Honestly I wouldn’t say either one is better quality than the other (though the GT one is known for some QC issues which makes me wary to transform him much) but I like it’s overall aesthetics more with the rest of my IDW crew than the G1 inspired Downbeat. Both are great though.

Seems so. I'm in Asia, no extra guns or headsculpt.

 

I received the extra guns because those are regular extras, the Planet Steel exclusive accessory is the extra head, thats all. I got mine from toydojo and got the grey guns.

 

Big ups to MMC's customer service for sending me replacement screwhole covers.

 

The extra guns are overseas retailers exclusives, the add head is a psx exclusive.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the Jobby review of this fella, he noted some of the minor observations some people were having with the alt mode. However those nitpicks were easily forgiven because of how entertaining and articulated the figure is. The video was a great reminder why we love collecting these to start with.

 

Is that Batman Transformer in Jobby's video real?

 

Yep. MMC Vexo Prominon. It was 2020 TFCon exclusive.
