I think this would look good in Evangelion unit 01 colors. Honestly, I think this mold could pull of almost any deco you slap on it and still be a good toy, it's fantastic.

Good lord this figure is articulated to no end! I figured I would have some fun with the posing this time.

I just opened the nozzle about halfway so only a little comes out, drop a small drop right on top of the joint work it through and then wipe off the excess with a rag. You need to move the joint about a dozen to two dozen times until you feel it work its way in and then you're good to go

Is there a particularly standout brand of shock oil to get, or are they all about the same? I might get some for the knees and biceps. Also kinda afraid the thigh swivels will snap the swing-down hip mechanism, so the oil could be useful for those too. But maybe I’m over worrying

I thought the same thing and I added shock oil to the thigh swivels.

I ended up doing the biceps both joints, the knees, the thigh swivel, the outward shoulder motion of the arm

I used 40 weight shock oil and it seemed to be just thick enough to not make a mess but still seep into the joints

Wow, so I applied it in the joints, worked them all for a bit and this thing is buttery smooth now. I completely get it when you guys said it took it to the next level by adding the shock oil. Loving it even more now if that’s possible.

This is what I bought. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A6YCNPO/ref=cm_sw_r_em_api_glt_fabc_F3XF0PWH5CM2SSPZY0WM

It is literally February and we already have the Chug of the year.

Super-posable is sooo last year. Non-posable is in. Here's your figure of the year:

Same. I love the Maketoys one to death, but in the end, I kinda feel his proportions could have been made a bit more accurate. Specifically, the upper torso could have had his shoulder gate made a bit wider, his lower torso could have been a bit taller and his legs could be improved to have the socket that attaches to the waist deeper in the thigh to make them look thinner and narrow out a bit.

Pexus is likely gonna shine, but I feel Rung is gonna still be one hell of a release in his own right.

Thanks, I’ll look into these. I assume if you add the right amount slowly, it won’t make the joints overly loose? I’d rather they be too tight than floppy, but I just wanna be able to move them without excessive/awkward force.

Don’t know of any other third party figures on my radar that could beat this guy. Rung will be amazing but not to this degree. For official figures, a lot of the Kingdom stuff has been incredible, but I think Flame Toys 3K Megatron will be my top of the year. Yet even with that in mind, this guy will still be #2; can’t imagine it dropping to #3

Also, I noticed that my copy sadly got scratched up on the spine area from the wheel pins too, I must not have been careful. But it’s not a huge deal, not that noticeable. But be aware of it if it’s a big deal to you.

@griffith76 It's my understanding that you designed this figure. Be proud sir. This is something special and will be recognized as such for a long, long time.

Most of it. The factory engineer did improved on the torso transformation and made it a lot sturdier than my original idea but I had the boss force him to revert the hip articulation back to my original gundam styled swing down hips. He went ahead and modified it into what the usual reformatted figures had, with a 90 degree range. Thanks for the kind words!
