I swear there is a gun plugged into the top of the car mode just so I can't rip this thing a new one for being the 3rd 3P springer to not come up with a way to have a flippable panel on the roof to hide where the heli blade plugs into.

We are in 2016 and these designers still don't get that a HELI BLADE HOLE IN CAR MODE looks like poop. Isn't openplay the only one that got this right? It amazes me.

 

Any side by side comparisons between this guy and Apache? Allen is out of the running for me but definitely need a Springer still.

 

So is this Springer meant to be masterpiece size? In the cartoon/movie, he's just a little taller than Hot Rod, Kup, and Arcee. His toy size has him about 1 to 1.5 inches taller than MMC Trailbreaker and TT Ironhide.

 

My dude is a full head taller than kup. Look at those beefy legs too. He's a bot that Arcee wanna combine with homie

He won't. Ocular Max is their MP line, he'll be way too big to scale properly with Roadbuster and Whirl.

 

I thought that due to the price. Shame really as it would be nice to add springer to the wreckers rather than just another MP figure in competition with the rest.

 

In case anybody else besides myself is still interested in this guy: he is pushed back to Q4 (according to PSX).

 

This looks better than Fans Toys, I am watching this one and Openplay.

MMC has bad QC? I own or have owned nearly everything they've done. Not once have I encountered a single problem.

 

Eh. Some of their latest stuff hasn't been the usual quality in my opinion. The Jaegertron/Anubis/Boreas molds I have are filled with janky stuff. It's my understanding that a lot of people got an Artifex with a weak ankle. I definitely don't think it's something I'd base a pass on, though.

 

Jaegertron was definitely not great. I chalk that up more to materials and design QC though.

 

Anubis was a mess, too. Half of his hand accessories were improperly tooled so they didn't fit, fall out, or would crack the ports. Like you, though, I've loved my MMC stuff. I originally had Saltus up for pre-order, but after a close look, I found I didn't like his altmodes as much as Apache. I also got a little annoyed with the moving target release date. FT has them too I suppose, so maybe it was more the altmodes.

 

99% sure that's just an outdated product page from last year. Look at the ETA.
