There we go. Gonna watch soon.
Pretty good and fair review from Bobby.
He's a guy who likes his figures for shelf presence and display, so I reckon Apache, with its more imposing and polished finish would be his preference (plus his season 3 shelf is mostly FT figures). I'm glad he acknowledged how fun and intuitive the transformation was, and that he enjoyed the figure.
I'm still enjoying Saltus for his poseability and how much fun it is to flip him back and forth (plus accessories out the wazzoo!). And that wrist cannon!
he didn't fully transform the feet
Yeah just commented haha
Saltus and Azalea really go well together.
(Also Gold-backed Insignia totally was the way to go!)
Is the symbol a reprolabel?
Yes it is.
Double Post to add:
Having played with him. I love him, but I have one complaint
His feet. And yes, I know you can extend them, I've done so. My problem is his feet are not stable. The front part of the feet (The one you can extend) is on an hinge and his heel isn't particularly long (it's in fact bevelled in such a way as to reduce how much contact with the ground). So only the centre black piece of his feet is what he can rely on for solid contact with the ground, and that makes him topple over REALLY easily. Especially coz his centre of gravity is relatively high thanks to the metal in his chest and thighs.
Azalea is more stable than he is.
It's not that he CANT stand, or that he's super finicky to stand, but more that he's way less stable than he looks like he should be. Have him hold out something like his gun while on a desk, and give the desk a good slap, watch him wobble dangerously if not outright fall.
Those poses seem oddly familiar.
It's been so long that this Guy has been on order I forgot all about him. Mines finally on the way.
I'm glad Bobby wound up reviewing this guy. I know people like to give him crap, but our general sensibilities about transformers and displaying them align really closely. I think his biggest issue, the shape of the chest/torso area, is the area that's made me hold back.
In general though, It's just nice to see more videos of Saltus out there. They definitely seem to illustrate that this might be the best Springer if you want something that is fairly G1 accurate but also fun to mess with. Apache and Allen arguably do one or the other, but not both.
mine is out for delivery today, now the begins the wait till i get out of work.
Haha. Looks good! Pose them however you see fit!
It's funny, in hand the whole "lack of an abdomen" seems so trivial, especially if you're using a slight ab crunch. This guy looks amazing and is actually fun to handle too. Pretty refreshing honestly!
mine has finally been released from import hell and is playing bounce from one Fedex hub to another, hoping to see it by the end of the week.

I still think Apache looks super blocky and dated. Saltus is far more interesting and is less rigid. But yeah he probably will say Apache.
I will say though that I think the grey plastic gun of Saltus looks way better compared to Apache’s silver one. It just looks so toy like and totally out of place against the figure.
Yeah that does look really good. And Azalea and him were made for each other.
