There is no clear winner. This is why its good to have character wars.

Usually I bag on Maketoys because their Masterpieces seem to be inspired by everything except Sunbow and not because their figures necessarily look bad but this figure looks terrible just terrible particularly the alt-modes. The robot-mode isn't that bad and could be made to look better with some work.

But the rest of it is a big no ...just...no!

Totally agree. I think most companies are nailing the coptor mode, hit or miss on the bot depending on your aesthetic tastes, and most drop the ball on the car. I actually like all three modes here for once, and the two alt modes actually look different.

So did that one: Saltus - 3rd party MP Springer turn out to be this one?
Or they just have the same name?

First of all it's not MakeToys, it''s MMC and secondly they usually base the designs off StudioOx.

This is my current favorite. I'll decide again in a week when the next 3 MP springers are announced

The alt modes are actually my favourite part of this guy. I have no real interest in cartoon accuracy when it comes to Springer's alt modes, I always thought they looked ridiculous, especially the car. But they genuinely look good on this guy. It's amazing what making the wheels in line with each other can do for the car mode's aesthetic. :)

Yea, getting that same feeling. Whenever a ton of third parties all start dumping out the same character, it's because they are trying to beat Takara to the punch.

Yeah. MMC: this is a very nice-looking figure, and from what I remember of the others, this has the best-looking alt modes. (If someone has a comparison image ready, that'd be helpful.) I just wonder if the scrambling and the cutting of the pie for characters with figures that look roughly the same is a sustainable business model. Granted, every company should do projects that they're interested in and want to, and if they don't care that much about ROI, great, but at a certain point you do wonder if things can keep going on this way.

(My vote. Do Omnibots, MMC. They all have real-car alt modes, and there's likely not going to be a scramble by all the companies at once to do them. The character recognition isn't high, but at the very least, Overdrive is a fricking flying Ferrari.)

None of the Springers are doing it for me in all 3 modes. Probably going to skip all.

Of all the MP Springers revealed thus far I think that this one is my favorite. The shapes and proportions really capture the feeling of the cartoon without looking slavish to a fault, which (to my eyes) the FT one falls victim to. That said, the other options still look plenty good. UT's is definitely cool as a bulkier and slightly more stylized design that is successful at being a different take on the character IMO. FT's isn't for me aesthetically but the build quality will probably be completely solid given the company's history. All three will probably be great options.

I'm aware that there are other Spingers that have been revealed but I'm struggling to remember them.

This is probably the springer for me. I trust the MMC Oc Max line more than any of the other ones out there right now.
