Oh no I just didn’t know what was happening. Thanks though.
I keep coming back to this thread when it is bumped, thinking it will be the reveal of a repaint, and bam, nothing yet...
I come back for the photos. I like to see how other people are posing her and get ideas for what I can do with mine.
I also come here to look at and post pics. I also like the news but I doubt that there's gonna be news anytime soon.
Transformed her for the first time since installing the modded hands. Took me a few tries to find a position that worked for alt mode (they take up more space than I thought) l but finally got them tucked away into her alt mode. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
Some more Azalea photos. She's turned into one of my favorite figures
Did these for the reenacted scenes thread:
Gotta agree that she's a favorite. For me, she's definitely my favorite. Phoenix X wasn't able to take her spot.
One word: Gorgeous!
Especially with those custom hands. It'd be nice if those were the original ones, but que sera, sera! Let's raise a toast to, perhaps, the best MP Arcee created thus far by the mad masterminds themselves!
Look at this! Look at all of this! It’s amazing. So much personality and life that bleeds out from it’s plastic confinement. Also those hands are incredible. Have you done an explanation on them in this thread?
Lookin for that hottie, anyone fond of the ambus guy ?
Huh? Minimus Ambus?
Yeah, I talked about the hobby base hands while I was trying them before they literally fell apart on me and then I went on to try the real grade Gundam hands. Real grade are Gundam models that are 1/144 scale and have some pretty damn nice articulation. They have essentially the same articulation as MP seeker hands, except there's also a mid-thumb joint and a wrist bend. I painted them with the closest color I could mix up and used an airbrush to get the paint to go on smooth and evenly. The ball joints weren't a match so I had to use a larger wrist piece from the hobby base hands and then sand the ball pegs down so they'd fit.
This post is where I had the hands finished and installed and did some test poses.
Nah, Phuc Digger, the Dominus Ambus
Good photos. However I think they look too masculine on her.
Thanks! I have spotlights available but haven't needed them.
I'm still working on the smiling face. The mascara has become the easy part. Her standard face and gasping face are done. I'm thinking about making her visor metallic red.
The hands? They're just a little too squarish. I could've tried to carve the fingers down into more roundish shapes but I was afraid I'd screw it up and the only way I've found these hands is to buy a whole Gundam kit - it's only $20 but if I destroyed a few pairs of hands, that'd add up pretty quickly. I actually sanded down the backs of her hands to make them rounder but wasn't about to try the fingers.
Thanks again! Your smiling face inspired me to put some effort into the faces of mine. Here's the gasping face...
She's also been upgraded from a reprolabel to a dry rub insignia. It looks SO much better.
