I have been quite impressed by Ocular Max design wise since Assaultus. The only thing that I would nitpick is the lack of good designed ratchet joints.

As seen on the 1st page all in one video of the set, I'm getting XTB Stunticons vibes with the bot mode height for these guys where Hotspot is way bigger than the rest.

That is how the Scramble Combiners are, if you're not going to rely on partsforming nonsense like the Zeta Combiners.

Even Zeta had the torso robots be bigger than the rest, except for Devastator of course.

I think XBurner was noting how the torso 'bots here are like, twice the size of the limb 'bots, which while they're larger in the animation (usually), they're not that much larger by comparison. The Zeta-style Combiners get closer to the animation scale, by sacrificing transformation realism.

Looks like an entirely separate piece creating the connection from the foot to the knee. Lame.

It's not part of Groove, so it's "separate" in that sense yes, but it's part of Hot Spot (confirmed by LazaAza on twitter) so the All Built In factor is retained, it's not partsforming / pantsforming.

I am deeply curious where it hides the foot block.

Okay that's freakin' clever. I wondered how they were gonna pull off the integrated transformation with a part with as little to it as Groove.

That's their way of having the foot as part of Hot Spot - fully non-partsforming combiner. I think it's the opposite of lame!

The combiner mode feet and the rails that Groove / Streetwise attach to all fold up and go inside Hot Spot's legs.

Thank God there are still companies trying to outdo themselves by not going down the easy route of pantsforming.

I don't know what it says about me, but when I saw the name, I immediately thought "Incertus into Uranus" so...
