If Groove could have accommodated a combined foot as large as himself hidden inside his motorcycle alt-mode, it'd have been mind-blowing, and probably violate the laws of physics.  

 

If they’re going that far they might as well shrink the motorcycle mode as well.

 

The combiner feet compress and fold up inside hotspots legs.



They are part of him. They literally fill out the back of his fire truck mode too it's pretty neat.

I’m also keen to see how they look in the physical form. Noticing streetwise here, obviously blurred due to limitations with finalising the design, doesn’t look to have much forward tilt range in the feet. Perhaps the feet move more, perhaps there’s a panel that moves, regardless, something I want to see in a proper photography setting.

 

Disagree! It will probably have better QC and a less complicated transformation, but IMO it certainly does not look better. And they both pale in comparison to the GT one.

 

The toe was altered since that old render and looks to have plenty of forward range.

 

well i think it certainly does look better! much better proportion wise and looks more like streetwise even from a lightly blurred picture than xtb's...............and gt's looks better ? you are funny  

 

What I like the most about GT is that they almost always use clear pieces for the windows and windshields instead of paint.

 

I like that in the figures I have. I don't care if I see the rest folded up in there; it shows the effort they made. Only my MT Constructions don't have it I think.

That was one of the first things MMC did that made me realize how much they listen to the fans and change things rather than just pay lip service and say its too late in production.

Well that's true, but it's because it is stylized, they deviate from the original source material just enough to make them look cool, that is the point of stylization.

 

I really hope the connector piece from combiner knee to the foot is metal. I can't imagine plastic lasting a long time for those two thin pieces.

So, X-Transbots has shown what their Streetwise and Groove look like, and they are pretty damn toon accurate. I know MMC is marketing to a different audience, but still. There's real competition about looks now. I still think MMC still can do this, no question. All I'm really saying is it's okay to flex on ole X-Transbots right now if you want to MMC. We ain't gonna mind.

 

I will just be happy if they don't cancel this. Like when hasbro came out with warpath, mmc cancel their warpath and when planet x announced idw grimlock mmc cancel their grimlock.

 

I don't think so, this looks like a very solid Defensor that doesn't pantsform. So two Defensor for two different crowds.

 

One utilizes the partsforming gimmick to get the Zeta scale, one is all in one-in-one gimmick at the Official/MMC scale.

I highly doubt this would be canceled. This is a team coming out in different orders, not one character.
