I get into arguments all the times in these threads, but it's always about the figures themselves. Seeing people fight over something that has nothing to do with anything TF related is just hilarious, just direct message them, no one else wants to be apart of this :D

Eh, makes some popcorn and grab a stiff drink? I'll need a few of those to understand how "You heard it wrong" is rude or insulting and not just a factual statement *shrug*

I guess that's why we have ignore buttons :)

@LazyAza , can you explain what you were referring to about IgnisA having new parts? It kinda reads like toy-version Ignis is getting additional parts that didn't come with toon-version Ignis...

I'd read that as retooled parts to be more toy accurate compared to the toon version.

Alternative, not additional. The head sculpts are exclusive to each edition. While the chest plate and rifles are modified variations of the existing ones.

A different head sculpt means I'm not buying the same bot twice, right?

Yeah, Hotspot feet aren't great, but as others said there is no extra room in his legs and I certainly wouldn't want Defensor with even longer thighs. It's possible a different transformation scheme could've solved the problem, but it could've come with other compromises.

Meanwhile I put mine in combined mode. Transformation wasn't hard but I made it more complicated since I watched instructions from robot to combined mode and mine was in truck mode, so I had to interpolate some steps. Defensor feels solid and can stand even with only one leg, sadly I don't have any arm bot so I can't judge hod good are the shoulder and arm joints.
I did some measurements and it comes at around 43.5 cm tall to the top of the head, slightly shorter than UW Devastator and taller than Maketoys Utopia, but not as much as I was expecting. Proportions aren't perfect but that's the price you pay for the engineering involved. Still, I have to resist the urge to buy another Streetwise and spare Combaticons while I wait for the remaining Protectobots...the wait until I have a full Defensor is going to feel really long.

Alright, finally got everyone back into combine mode and had time to take some shots and measurements. From left to right: Zeta Toys Superion, MMC Bruticus, Moon Studio Raiden, MMC Defensor, Toyworld Devastator.
    IMG_20240605_192300479.jpg

With them standing completely straight like this (which is a bit too static for my taste, but it makes for objective heights), according to my measurements, they are at their highest points:

    Superion
    Top of head: 50 cm
    Top of antenna: 51.5 cm
    Top of Fireflight: 52.5 cm

    Bruticus
    Top of head: 41 cm
    Top of antenna: 42 cm
Top of Blast Off: 49 cm

    Raiden
    Top of head: 50.5 cm
    Top of antenna: 51.5 cm
Top of backpack wings: 52 cm

    Defensor
    Top of head: 43 cm
Top of backpack guns: 46 cm

    Devastator
    Top of head: 50.5 cm
    Top of Bonecrusher: 52.5 cm

Here are some more closed in shots of pairs:

    Some shots from an angle:
    IMG_20240605_192329614.jpg IMG_20240605_192337254.jpg

And a shot with mildly more dynamic A-like stances (except for Raiden, he didn't fit anymore):
    IMG_20240605_192607033.jpg IMG_20240605_192614358.jpg

And no, I don't have any Menasor. :p

Fun dact: I didn't take a precise measurement but when I put the two next to each other I noticed that Defensor's torso is basically as wide at the shoulders as Superion's.

Not precisely sure what you mean, but MMC's Defensor and Bruticus torsos are pretty much equally wide (which makes sense when you consider neither get wider during their transformation) at a little over 16 cm from flipped out combiner port to port.

Zeta Superion is a smidge over 14 cm from combiner port to port of the torso shell, but his front wings (which extend further out) are roughly on par with MMC's torsos at a bit over 16 cm (and I'm not counting the combiner peg that flips out of the arm bots).

So if you're just talking about Superion's torso shell vs Hot Spot (and by equality Onslaught) in torso mode, then yeah, they match (or even exceed).

The total width of Superion with his arms straight down from cockpit to cockpit (the tailfins extend even further out) is about 31 cm, which far exceeds Bruticus' width of 28 cm with his arms straight down (excluding Vortex's rotorblades). We'll see how Defensor fares once Blades is out.

Interestingly Raiden and Devastator are also a smidge over 14 cm from port to port; Devastator's full width fluctuates between roughly 28 to 31 cm depending on how far out you flip the double combiner peg, and Raiden wins out with a total of a bit over 32 cm at his upper shoulders full width.

Yeah that's what I meant. I noticed that because I put Defensor in front of Haslab Unicron and I was surprised how close they were in terms of torso width despite the latter being 50% taller, so out of curiosity I checked with Superion too.
