It sounded like a good random video game-esque trophy and since we were talking about neither Thrust nor crotches I figured it was close enough :lol

I have MMC Bruticus, I had to display him hunched over to fit on the shelf XD

He was eventually packed away for fear of him taking a nose dive.

i need more legends scale combiners... or more shelf space...

I really hope MMC puts a little bit of rubber on the bottom.of the combined mode feet to help.prevent the figure from sliding.

Agreed and more combiners should have this.

Toyworld included a small rubber mat with their Constructor. Really useful to prevent sliding and protect the feet bots from scratches that you would see in other modes.

I think MakeToys used rubber patches on Quantron at least.

    Either way is useful!

All three of the designer's full Combiner sets had the rubber pads by default: Fansproject Intimidator/M3, Maketoys Quantron, and Maketoys Guardia.

A chunkier Hot Spot could be akin to his Generation 2 appearance.

To any attendee at the convention last week - was there any mention of who the 3rd release figure would be and when? I know we're presuming it will be Blades - and info and pics so far suggest this is correct. But a solid definitive answer PLUS expected shipping date would be nice.

Most people were thinking it would be Blades before the TFCon the other week since they were showing off pictures of the prototype online. Now after the con it is looking like Hot Spot. This is why they were asking the question for people who went to the con or stayed up to date with it.

The people doubting it was anything other than hotspot, probably didn't know the release order of assaultus, which they will follow in the same manner

    Arm, leg, torso, arm, leg

To be fair, a similar release order to Assaultus was the assumption prior to Blades’ prototype being shown off. Since then, there was speculation that Blades might come next (after Streetwise) since he was shown at that stage while there was no other update with regards to HotSpot or otherwise.
Now that we have further information corroborating the original assumption, only now is the consensus back to HotSpot being the next release.
People assuming that other people were not aware of Assaultus’ release order may not have known of the intermediate speculations/assumptions regarding Blades.

Though I wish it was leg, arm, torso, leg, arm so it can stand up faster

For 22 years I worked as a precision Toolmaking fitter & turner in the car industry. So I have a great respect for car panels lining up perfectly flush across the vehicle's body.

And I've gotta say, the same precision is prevalent in all the car panels on Navigant in car mode. 10/10 for MMC's design team and their respect for perfection in this field.

Bring on figure release #3 please?!

Completely agree, I appreciate the transformation so much.

Its obviously helped by not having to in any way produce a foot out from inside the car, but never the less to look so good after such an easy transition is great especially when compared to some other MP releases recently.

Cant wait for the next release in this line.. just having to pretend it doesnt exist atm to stop from thinking about it all the time!

Thanks for backing me up bro @PadForce ! As an extension to my original comments, the tooling used to produce the plastic components are clearly equally precise to produce these parts. And I salute MMC for making precise QC of the utmost importance.

It's already abundantly clear that Hot Spot will take this up to the next level (it goes up to 11) to execute the complexities of all his modes. And I can't wait to have the big blue guy in hand.

Why is this the order? When MMC did Predaking they released leg, leg, torso, arm, arm. I don't think the Assaultus has anything to do with the order the Protectobots are being released in. I think what's been tooled and ready for release does.

With Feral Rex, the legs and the arms were retools of each other, so it was quicker to produce the paired limbs back-to-back. There's no such shortcut with the OM Combiners.

Releasing them in mixed order builds anticipation. You get a gradual teaser of how the whole thing will come together, but it ensures you can't get the full experience without waiting it through until the end (unless you go crazy and double-up on the first leg guy just because you're impatient).
