Absolutely. I'm a G1 toy guy, through and through.

Defensor was one of the few complete combiners I had, so I'm all in to get these closer to a toy deco.

I'm still just blown away with the overall enjoyability of this set so far. This is what more 3rd party companies should be striving for. The transformations are enjoyable, smooth, without the needless addition of countless annoyingly small parts or tabs to break or forget. Very reminiscent of the MP-10 Era figures, where they were stil straddling the line of toys and collectables. It's a miracle these days to not be afraid to transform a 3rd party figure, so for a whole set to be designed that way is entirely refreshing

Someone mentioned that when combined these will be on the small side in Defensor mode? Anyone know how tall it will actually be?

Same height as Assaultus, which I think is around 15-16”.

Yep, the MMC Combiners are scaled to match CW Devy.

I wouldn’t say that is entirely accurate. They’re pretty much their own scale, most closely related to “MP Scale” in bot mode. Combined mode doesn’t “scale” with the current trend of Massive “MP” style combiners though.

This is a quick screen cap from Emgo’s Assaultus review:

With the Assaultus add-on boots, it adds another half inch of height which is the scale their Defensor is matching. Still slightly smaller than CW Dev but around 17.5"

He certainly gains a bit of height with the boots, although I didn’t think they were 1/2” thick, maybe closer to 1/4”.?. I’ll have to measure Assaultus next time I have them combined. They’re currently pushing around and generally bullying First Aid and Streetwise in their individual bot modes at the moment.

People using the word small to describe mmc combiners is still really funny.

I should probably take some photos at some point to show off what I've done with the insignias, but until then...

I got Streetwise a couple of weeks ago and he's absolutely fantastic. The shoulders are much better than First Aid's (makes me wish those could be redesigned to use the same trick to hold them in place), and there are lots of neat little things that move without making it a complicated mess (X-Transbots).

I'm not sure if I like him more or less than First Aid (probably about the same) but he's probably more fun to transform (just barely though).
The only issue I really have is that one of the leg pieces that swings out with the foot on it tabs in somewhat softly (so can pop out when bending the ankle) and is slightly gappier than the other side. Seems like a margin of error thing, ultimately.
Lack of gun storage isn't ideal but it's easy enough to chuck it behind the windshield anyway.
The instructions do miss a step or two though - the main one being the little bar that swings out from behind the chest to tab into the windshield for combined mode. I don't recall anyone mentioning that but I couldn't find it in the instructions and it's not immediately obvious that it's a moving part. Makes the leg mode feel more solid, though it's still just a plastic brick of nothing until we have Hot Spot.
My only real criticism is that the hip flaps are sculpted in a way that you have to move the front and back pieces to swing the legs laterally, which is a pain but not the end of the world.

It definitely feels like some lessons were learnt for First Aid, and that's good. I still love First Aid too, to be clear.
This set is really great so far, and I'm super-excited for the next one. Hopefully we don't have to wait a year between releases this time, because I've been dying to get a Masterpiece-style Blades for years now.

Looking at photos of MMC Bruticus and Zeta Superion, I think he'll still be a little too small for me, but I think I'll be okay with them together. G1 Defensor is kind of squat anyway, so I don't mind them being different heights.
If there's an add-on kit made that gives him a little more height though, that'd be perfect. First Aid's arm mode is pretty close to Superion's arm size though, but Streetwise is quite a bit smaller than Superion's legs, so how much Hot Spot makes up of the leg will certainly change things. I have a feeling it won't be as bad a height discrepancy in person though.

I prefer the smaller size. Did the whole Zeta Superion thing, felt oversized and unfun to mess with. Never cared for combiners being oversized monsters taking up large amounts of real estate.

Only problem now is that I've gotta wait for MMC to do the others- only a problem in that it'll take time (hopefully not that they'll stop making them!).

Not I. Do you mean on the bumper side or the bonnet side? You have to be careful with the clearance when going to combined mode - the bumper should split and rotate cleanly underneath the bonnet. If it's not lined up properly, I could see it stressing if you put some force on it. Not sure if that's what happened to yours though.

Got my Navigant yesterday, think I like Medicus a little bit more. Maybe because I got MP-56 last week, he really didnt make much of an impression on me, feels almost like a design from 3-4 years ago, especially the knees.

I can understand your point of view; the knee and hip design of especially the official MP line in recent years is really elegant.

That said, I immensely appreciate what MMC is doing with these figures. I also got MP-56 about two weeks ago, and even though it's a wonderful figure, looks absoluty screen accurate (so far none other than Takara are able to pull that off with amazing accuracy), I can't help but feel a little disappointed; he's essentially a shellformer. Again, I know it's screen acurate and pretty much a "must" with how his chest and backpack is supposed to end up, but his arms and legs play effectively no real role in the vehicle mode.

Especially having both MP Trailbreaker and MMC Navigant in hand now, I've come to a realisation as to what I look for in G1 "masterpiece"; I have a slight nostalgic feel for the original cartoon, but mostly for the feeling of "transformers are cool"; I can't really remember much of it, and I never had any G1 original toys.

So for me masterpiece means what the figure would've been if the cartoon would've had consistent animation; make the alt mode transform into a robot (and not just be a "shell" that exposes a robot). And, for me, for combiners, that especially means that the all-in-one gimmick is excellent; it represents the masterpiece take on what the original toys could've been if they were based on a consistent animation.

I appreciate Toyworlds / Zeta's take on pantsforming for their sheer size and getting the ball rolling on MP combiners, and Toyworld's Devastator and Zeta's Superion look amazing for it (I'm not a fan of Zeta's Bruticus or any of the Menasors to be honest), but MMC's Bruticus knocks both out of the park when it comes to interpreting the characters as how combiners were intended. Especially with the absolutely mindblowing way they seem to be able to turn Streetwise into the lower leg, without any sacrifices to either the robot mode or the alt mode. 99% perfection for as far as I'm concerned.

Well, for me at least, but to each their own of course.
