Streetwise just arrived! Just an all around solid MP-style carbot; he feels very well built in both modes, and the transformation is involved yet intuitive. Can’t wait for First Aid and the rest of the group!

First sticker test for Medicus. Pretty good for a first go, but there's room for improvement.

I love the alt mode stripe. Taillight print looks great, but fit needs some adjusting. Maybe I'll experiment with wrapping to the sides.

I'm liking the added details to the front, but I'm thinking chrome might be overkill. I'm going to try an alternate print on a flatter metallic silver and see how I feel about it. Likely going to ditch the knee/thigh stickers. I think it's too much.

The shoulder red stripes are full width and look a little goofy, they need to be brought down to match the width of the other arm strips.

Also, I had to adjust toner density for the chrome paper, so the reds are now skewing more magenta than I'd like. Looks great on the taillights, but the red stripes need tweaking back to a true red.

Overall, a good first step. Looking forward to getting these nailed down.

Fantastic. The forearm stripes really add a lot with just one color.

    Finally!

He's absolutely stunning. Near perfect transformation, perfect proportions, great articulation, and an absolute joy to mess with. My only critique would be the panels that you need to flip out on his legs; due to the parts that form the "inside" of the leg, you have to force it a little to get it to come together and I'm hoping that doesn't stress the pin joint too much.

Based off pictures I've seen of others I was expecting him to be an off-white, but he's absolutely pure dull (as in, non-shining) gray; pictures don't do the color justice. Here he is next to a pure white plastic box, which is pretty much just as white as First Aid, and it's the closest I can get the color comparison on a picture (the difference is still much more pronounced in person):

Unfortunately I do have a bit of blue paint (?) near one of the tail lights; it came like this out of the box, though I have no idea how it could've gotten that. Also no idea if / how I could possibly fix that (not really into paining my own figures)...

Other than that, really loving him and can't wait to see the set come together!

I'll soon have a spare Navigant to sell with a minor defect that prevents it from being able to combine, but other modes unaffected except for a little hidden away assymtry on the bot mode. PM if interested as ill obviously give you a deal since it can't combine.

I just got Streetwise. I have to say, I don't give a damn about these characters, but I was won over by how great everything is here. The plastic feels so good. The transformation is fast with no frustrations. Both modes are so damn clean. I'm hugely impressed.

Where did you get the chrome sticker stock from? The ones I have aren't any where near as shiny as yours.

After transforming Streetwise back and forth a few times, I feel pretty confident in saying this is now in my top five favorite MP-style carbots. Great figure.

Same. It's damn near perfect. The only way it isn't is if you want to compare the finish to some super painted figure like an FT release, or the poseability of optus, but I think both of those comparisons aren't fair as they aren't quite the norm. Even then, I find myself messing with this already way more than most FT figs or optus.

Got Streetwise in hand today, super excited to have this guy. Huge surprise to me, though, i thought he was white, not grey. That aside, another smooth, intuitive transformation. I was actually able to do the whole robot to car without referencing the instructions. Everything tucks nice and firmly, it's just fun to play with. My only gripe, and it's small, I would have liked dedicated weapon storage. Only because they included it on the first figure, to not have it feels like an error. The gun Does fit somewhere, but having a place to attach it would be prefered.

If you’re careful you should be able to remove the blue paint with alcohol on a q-tip. Maybe even an eraser. I don’t believe this figure is painted so you’re just removing the blue paint and leaving the grey plastic behind. If you do use alcohol you might have to cover the tail lights somehow to make sure you don’t remove the paint that is supposed to be there. That’s why an eraser might be better in this case.

I love my Maketoys First Aid; despite his inferior plastic quality he's a great little figure, and more sturdy than you'd expect. But MMC's is making me see double. These bots are both packed with character, and I hope they keep up with the rest of the team.

...Sans that first part. Please post more updates when you feel like it- those are looking sick! Fantastic work.

Thanks, much appreciated. The chrome sticker paper was a new one I was trying out. It didn't hold the toner well enough, even with a clear coat. It works, but it's not resilient enough for me to be very comfortable with it. I'm testing out a few more adhesive substrates this weekend, so I should have some updates by Monday.

    Stay tuned ;)
