Does any1's streetwise wrist pieces keep popping out when u attempt to slide em during transformation? Real annoying. Used superglue to make it tighter

 

toydojo dropped off Navigant and Medicus yesterday (with FT SW Tapes and Chomp) and I finally got a chance to open Navigant and Medicus last night andI have to say I'm pretty happy with them. I think the plain aesthetic of both of them just call to me (engineer by trade - we like plain shit)

but thats cause i kept trying to turn the wrists before i moved them. Since i stopped doing that and transform in the right order, theyve stayed on

To be honest i prefer they pop off with wrongly applied force, at least it wont snap. Stuff like that i dont mind, as long as it doesnt just fall off from looking at it (im looking at you MMC Impetus)

I mean hell, isn't Ocular Max's guiding light supposed to be Studio Ox? In which case, shouldn't the default abs be red?

 

Hasn't been for a while now. Leaning more toon these days.

 

Sad times. I've always thought of Studio Ox style as, "What if the toon actually looked good?" and liked that it gave Ocular Max a bit of its own flare.

 

Sorry if this has been answered before but do we know which figure will be released next? Got my Medicus and Navigant over last week and I can't help but wonder who will be joining them first

 

Would have been easy to make First Aid like a leg too. Just put him in alt mode and upright. Done.  

 

Honestly, I prefer him as an arm. Plus gives more room to hide a fist in his legs. Navigant is pretty compact in alt mode already, I'm not sure they'd be able to fit a fist inside that car mode.

 

Maybe flatten the hand and fingers stretched out forward? Could work.

 

I believe it will be Blades, but I am not 100% certain.

He's like one of those doctors who say, "it's only a small injection, you won't feel a thing", before bringing out a needle that you're fairly sure is actually a screwdriver.

 

If they planned him to be an arm from the start, they may have been able to squeeze a hand in there somehow. But looking at him with half of him all folded up, there is not much extra space in that car mode to fit much more than his pistol.
It makes me think, if MMC do end up making a Menasor, the hands (as well as the feet) will have to be on linkages and incorporated into Motormaster, similar to Defensor/HotSpot.

Not as simple as that. Making him pull double duty as an arm and a leg would mean the other three would have to be able to do the same.

 

I'm about 80% sure MMC will release a $60 upgrade kit (abs, chest, head, and boots) to make it look more like Studio OX. Right now MMC's design of Defensor look more like G1 cartoon. Just like their last Combiner Bruticus, they will release a upgrade kit to have options of display.

 

Medicus arrived and overall very nice figure.

Having all of the XTB and MMC protectorbots so far released is interesting.

The design philosophy is so different between the two companies. XTB Fuzz in particular is just so out there and unintuitive in places, and I don't know why as it doesn't achieve anything but to frustrate you and give the impression of fragility (shoulders) and floppiness (heavy diecast legs).

Medicus for example has pinned shoulders too but they look and feel so much better.

Also, we're into year 8 on this now... thread started in May 2015!!

 

The original project dating to 2015 was a completely different design with "full scramble" functionality. At least, as far I as remember griffith mentioning in his interview with Turnman on the now-gone MMC Hub. You actually can still see some of the old version on the Ocular Max website: Home

Anyway, that version pre-dates the All-in-One concept and was cancelled years ago. MMC/OX brought back the same name for this new All-in-One version, which was first announced 3 years ago.
