MMC has stated before that their Groove is actually going to be their last release, as it was stated to expect to see Defensor with 2 Streetwise figures for legs at conventions.

I always wonder if they gave First Aid Groove's pacifist nature intentionally to make the story fit better or if they honestly thought it was supposed to be First Aid's trait.

That pic just reminds me, a red abs option would be SO nice. All-blue is just so plain. They made an entire upgrade set for toy-based Bruticus----but Defensor really just needs one or two little optional parts to have a toy-based(read: less bland) look.

 

One of the renders show Defensor having the toy accurate collar, so it might be an option down the road.

 

I’m hoping that linkage for the leg can detach at the knee for a bit of scramble city with Assaultus. The arms (well First Aid at least, but I assume Blades will have the same) already have the same connector so it’d be cool if the legs are the same height from knee to sole of the foot and connect the same way as Assaultus does at his knees.

Ventus is likely next, since Paik4Life teased a black test shot of him, and it's the only other one shown in plastic yet.

And while Incertus was the last design to be finished (near the end of 2021), Ignis's design wasn't finished too much before that. And given that Ignis is supposedly the most complicated TF MMC has ever done, it wouldn't be surprising for them to take a while to get all the kinks worked out and for Ignis end up last.

Nice figure, but far from my favourite MMC figure. Not because of anything MMC did, but because I find most of the protectobots rather bland looking, both in colour as in design. Definitely going to be needing some toy based stickers to at least make him visually more interesting. Now waiting for BBB to ship Navigant which I expect to like more (but still wondering if I wouldn't be happer with a G2 version).

Since the story wouldn't work otherwise, most likely. First Aid needed to be the focus since he was the Autobot's medical officer, and his intended characteristic of being over caring to even inanimate objects wouldn't have worked to explain why he didn't stop Swindle and felt useless after this.

And if they didn't switch this around, then they likely didn't even know and just made it up. Wouldn't be the first time Sunbow completely ignored the intended bios.
