I'd love to see MMC tackle Menasor in the all-in-one style. I've skipped Assaultus and will be skipping Defensor but both have been very intriguing to me. I don't think I'd be able to resist an MMC Menasor though.

 

I'm cool if it's Devy. After, even though everyone else did then, I hope they do Stunticons (maybe after Abominus and Computron). Don't have to worry about MMC's combiners being too short compared to ToyWorld/XTB/DX9/etc if all my combiners are MMC.

 

For everyone wanting an MMC set of Stunticons, I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon. Boss Penguin is fairly business minded (look at all those repaints/ remolds) and we just had 3 MP scaled sets of MP Stunticons drop (well... mostly... *gives Fanstoys the side eye). I think we're 3 to 5 years minimum from an MMC set.

I'm in for any of the S1-3 combiners MMC wants to do, but I kinda hope it's Menasor or Abombinus, just because their individual members are so distinctive. A Devastator would be an easy buy for me, don't get me wrong, but it might be hard to keep getting psyched for The Latest Green Dude over the course of a multi-year release schedule.

I'm sure they know more about marketing than I do, but since MMC offers such a unique version of the combiners, compared to the rest of the 3P offerings, I think they have a niche that they can exploit. That niche being an all-in-one combiner that is at a bit smaller of a gestalt scale than others are offering. It may not be any time soon but I do hope that MMC gets to the Stunticons at some point.

 

hmmm, an mmc devy is most peoples guess. i never bought into contructor and i have a gravity builder ( as well as its oversized jinbao KO with upgrades whcih i've yet to unpack or assemble to stand in and be as big as the zeta/XTB guys), as well as teh CW. a devy the size of mmc's bruticus would be great for that one time they fought each other (of course then i'd need mini starscream and megatron too lol) but its also already teh same size as the CW which is not mp but can sorta stand in in combined mode. having combiners all mmc size would be great but its just not as impressive a presence wise on a shelf and also mmc combiners and their stability....

count me intrigued especially if all in one but not quite in yet.

 

Agreed entirely. I'm on MMC-only for my combiners, so I hope they do 'em all.

That said, there's clearly SOME value in them avoiding sets others have done recently; I know I've seen people say that they bought the MMC Combaticons to display in robot mode while using Zeta for combined mode.

 

If it really is Devastator, then the constructicon team renders from FT are in the way  

 

That's what I've done with my MMC set and plan in doing the same with their Protectobots for bot mode and XTB for combined.

 

I'd love a Monstructor, because the FP one was small (and fragile...), it hasn't been done to death, it's a six bot (so easier to get proportions right), and it's an IDW staple.

 

Abominus is probably still my #1 pick for "a combiner that would be especially suited to MMC's style" but that thought was originally based on the Reformatted Predacons. THAT style of Abominus would be insane. Same for Monstructor.

But going animation-Ox style? Not so much for those two. But Computron would be good, and we are lacking in GOOD Computrons.

I’m really hoping it’s devastator, but the fact that there’s no indication of the mixer drum above the foot is a good indication that it may not be.

 

Haven't heard anything honestly. Not saying there won't be but if there is, I don't know about it.

I'm down for Computron or Liokaiser.

Though, MMC if you're listening Liokaiser is a great one to do for more sales. 6 man team with optional 7th man. Just saying. It'd be easy money.

 

MMC is the only combiner style that would make me pick up Computron, he just doesn't fuss me otherwise.
