All MP-10's replacement has to do is be actually cartoon accurate, and have knees and elbows that bend farther than 90 degrees

What do you mean with extra hard plastic?
I had the feeling with Kaon they had used a different kind of plastic than usual, is it something like this?

How does he look with the cannons attached to his back? I am not sure if they are long enough to stick out.

The height of the guns depend on how you attach them. Here are a couple pics. Kultur 1.JPG

Yeah they can be down about an inch more if I remember correctly. Just swivel the turret piece around.

It would've been nice if the guns fit in the holes on his arms. Cannon on each arm.

Lugnut's my all-time favorite. If my house were burning down and I could save one figure, it'd be Lugnut (assuming my family's okay, of course, but they can fend for themselves).

That feeling of disappointment with other figures when you pick up a superior one... all too familiar :(

It's really fascinating to be following this thread at the same time as the GCreation IDW Prime. Both beautiful IDW designs, one getting complaints for being too simple, the other for being too complex. Good reminder that you'll never please everyone.

The mat purple they chose lights up really nicely and makes for some characterful shadows.

It's ridiculous how small Lugnut is now. Doesn't seem quite the bruiser anymore. Now mmc needs to do him...

Cool! You finally got yours! I'm from Ohio as well, and I think I got mine a week ago. Psx must not like Ohio, as it seems we were of the last to get theirs through them.

I only have Spartan, Salvia Prominon and Seraphicus, but they all have a similar feel to Kultur - very strong without much give. Planet X does the same thing with their figures, albeit with thinner parts. Combined with some sharp/pointy edges it hurts the fingers a bit, and makes me worry for certain joints that spring into place (Kultur's knee spikes are a moderate example). It's definitely not a bad thing overall, but I like the slightly softer plastic that Maketoys uses.

Oh, yes thats true. Spartan also had that more rigid plastic, but it is thinner on him than on Kaon i think.
I actually felt more comfortable transforming Kaon because of it but your probably right about the joints

Kultur (and Garatron, TR Hot Rod, Cynicus & SC Shockwave) arrives at work tomorrow. And we are predicted for a heavy snowfall tonight & tomorrow, and I live in one of the parts of the country where this is unusual and shuts almost everything down, including my work.

Normally I'd be like "yay 3-day weekend" and now I'm like "no I wanna go to work on Monday!"

"No one cared who I was until I put on the mask..."
    [IMG]010 (2) by Omega 0ne, on Flickr

I finally got my Kultur earlier this week from TCP and he is glorious. Nice heft, solid plastics, tight joints, smooth transformation, great poseability, and an all around excellent figure. For me, he is absolutely fantastic as is. Any upgrades at this point would seem superfluous, but if MMC did decide to make some I wouldn't object.

Once I got him in hand I decided to spruce up his face mask. I added some scarring with an X-acto knife, black panel lining, and for the eyes I used a small strip of metallic red wrapping paper. As good as it looks in the pic, the effect is way better in person. The way the light gleams off his eyes now really adds some life and much needed depth to the headsculpt.

I can't wait to start panel lining the rest of him!

    That is goddamn beastly.

My only gripe - no outward ankle rock. Just 15 degrees on those nice and strong ankles would have been perfection. I find myself trying to push them out naturally while posing, and that's all I'd need. What a monster.
