I'm in the same boat. I mean, Inb4 someone bites my head off for daring to criticize MMC for trying something new with the Lockdown character but this figure really is a noodle scratcher for me. The best thing I can say about it is I like his trophy/weapon case.

 

I think it's a fair criticism to say Jaegertron that doesn't really look like Lockdown. Because of MMC's mold-sharing and since Reformatted largely features "new" designs, there ends up being figures such as this, Seraphicus, and Titanika that really only hint at (through colors or a few details) their official counterparts.

On the other hand, I think this just looks really cool, but obviously that's just personal taste. I'm not tied to thinking about this figure as Lockdown.

I like this, I like it a lot, but it is not Lockdown to me.

Therefore I will have to skip it.

I need to draw some lines in the sand for space/cash considerations.

 

I'm firmly in the "not enough like Lockdown" camp.

I realize that the Reformatted line focuses on new designs/takes on characters but the ones I have or am interested in picking up come pretty close to hitting the mark when it comes to matching the characters they are based on.

Azalea, Spartan, Commotus, Cynicus, Anarchus, Kultur and Carnifex are all pretty much spot on compared to their comic counterparts. This guy is way too left field design wise for me.

 

Well color me interested. I have to resist until the high of Spartan (and promise of Commotus) wears off.

 

I like it, this and Drift and Wing. Some air of originality between all the slavish to the cartoon MPs most 3rd parties are dedicating most of their time to making.

My brain keeps turning the design into Cyclonus. Otherwise he looks original/non-specific enough where I think he'd look cool displayed fighting Steel Core.

Can anyone explain the heads to me? I'm not understanding if there is a reference (if there is one). Does anyone know if he comes with an EMP generator or Man-with-no-name-style poncho?  

 

Lockdown first showed up in Animated, he then showed up in the last TF live action movie.

 

The heads are probably meant to be replacement heads for the MMC Predacons.
