Sorry, but what will the final product look like color wise? I know it will be cast in gold, with some paint on the handle, but will we still need to paint the swords? I don't know if gold cast is nice or what it looks like, and when I paint toys, they sometimes get scratched at the handled cause I use water based paint.

I might be interested in the swords only, either for FR members, or for my other toys. Will send you a pm cause I am in Canada.

 

Got to love standardization! 5mm handles fit any 5mm peg holes!

Megatron31 will color match the gold as close as possible, but it might be off by a shade, you won't need to paint anything, we will do all the work on our end. All our paints will be acrylic and the handle will not be painted if you request it to avoid scratching from use.

Quick Question on the Sword Set:

On the 5 sword, will the "guards" be gold like the one you gave to Leodux for all 5 swords? It looks much better with the gold guard on the sword than black one from the original swords. Only the swords hilt, ie handle where the it will be held from, will be black right?

 

as nice as these look, the fact you gotta take your hands apart yourself by wasting money on a tool, and due to the swords having painted handles is a huge PASS for me.

I thought you intended on making full blown hands. that would have been a sure fire sale for me.

As for the swords, they should NOT need to be painted.

You should have just made them Champagne Gold to better match the default blades.

sorry for the minor quips. I feel they are valid ones though.

 

It's not for everyone, but I think a lot of fans will like this, either it be for Feral Rex, or maybe only partly, and give to other TF members. Just hope it will be affordable for me, as I welcome upgrades such as these.

I might be interested in the package set, depending on pricing and what shipping to Canada works out to be. Would be going with unpainted sword handles, always loved the solid colour of the original G1 swords.

 

PM me when you place your order and I can work out coloring choices for you, and let you chose which hilts you want to stay gold (saves me time painting).

And they will be all black hilts including the part that pegs into the hand.

These products are finalized and will not be changed, so input is not needed. And the fingers can be removed by using a tiny screw driver and small hammer, no need for a punch.

You might be rolling in the dough, but by making complete hand sets, it would have priced out too many potential customers as they would have cost well over $100+ to produce due to their mass. These as garage style custom kits, not mass market retail items.

You can chose to not have the hilts painted (saves me time anyway), and leave the swords all gold, but they will not be champagne gold as the intention was to go G1 Style and not match the current weps.

Just wait, pricing on the swords so come in soon.
