Best thing about the prank is that we have a PARTIAL reveal:

Feral Rex's Head (looking rather Majestic)
Leo Dux's Head (liking the gold mane)
Not-Rampage's Head (eyes need to be a different color to stand out)
Colors to all of the bots

I'm with you David. In need of a deeper orange and a different yellow. Something darker and not so bright.

 

... But I'm totally onboard for two Rex Commanders.

 

Obviously, I want to clarify my statement. It was made in context to the "announcement" and a certain day in April.

Truth is, this is my most anticipated combiner.

 

That's what I'm hoping for. That in the aftermath of this 4/1 prank that there is an actual tidbit of useful info released.

Yeah, this just reminded my I cannot view any news items for the next 24 hours. The likely goodness from this (besides attention) is that we may get new pics/real updates immediately following. At least, if I were pulling one of these, it's what I would do.

 

Mass cancelations? Why? If it were true and not an April Fool's joke, why would go people cancel en masse when the stores would do the cancellations for them?

I had to go back and re-read the post---hey, I got mentioned too! I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Honestly, I think I've been about 50/50 praise/critique with my posts overall, regarding this project. But hey, I've early-bird pre-ordered every member so far, I hope that says something about my overall feelings.  

I'm surprised they didn't mention Zambot---he's done some NICE digibash/tweaks. If nothing else---he got the shade of orange spot-on! At least, IMHO.

Anyways, some things based on the April Fool's render:

1. Are we sure that's Rampage's head, and not just a mane-less Leo? They're AWFULLY similar. Hey MMC---here's a comparison of lion and tiger skulls for ya, just in case you're interested: http://bp2.blogger.com/_ClRNXSlyjSk/SHJLy_5XlfI/AAAAAAAAALQ/PudcWnN-sfk/s1600-h/Juv_Lateral.jpg

Tigers have a shorter "muzzle"/flatter face, boxier head overall. Siberian tigers show it best, viewed head-on---they have a "scruffy, heavy jowls" look.

PS---no, I do not intend to rant if the final Rampage beast head looks more lion-ish than tiger-ish. But I would like to point out the differences now, in case MMC is still sculpting away, and they would like to "differentiate" Leo and Rampage appropriately. 2. I don't think that' Feral Rex's head. Compare to the B&W render.

So overall, I don't think they've revealed anything new actually---just placeholders to throw together something for fun.

I was 100% against buying the 6th member until just now. But that---yeah.   (though she'd look better if her "boots" and "gloves" were black---as she is now, her color pattern is pretty close to iconic Varia-armor Samus Aran, with the orange lower legs and yellow thighs) I'd just kind of swap around all her colors--like red abs and thighs, black lower legs, etc.  

Hmmn---that head matches the april fool's one, but still doesn't look like the B&W render of Feral Rex---could just be the angle/"outline style" of that one, but I liked the B&W render's head better.

I am wondering how close to final Headstrong is---I was hoping he'd be more different from Bovis. Even just changing the sculpted details on his legs would help. But with how many little changes MMC did just from grey prototype to colored CAD for Talon's many little sculpted details, I bet Headstrong will end up with totally different details from Bovis, everywhere.

 

So...when's the Arcee redeco going to come out?

 

How is the sixth member going to form an arm - it's way too small to be proportional

And how is the fembot supposed to be an arm? It seems she is too small for that.
Im not sure about the crotch yet. Seems too big.
So the Leo's paws are visible in combined form. So thats why they cant be bigger. They look the perfect size in gestalt mode now.
Articulated hands pleeeeease.

 

i wonder what the arm mode of her is going to look like, will be buying non the less  

 

I have pretty much the same complaints, looking at it for a few minutes now. The yellow is too ugly and the crotch is too big and distracting. I thought it was a joke at first.
