You don't buy many 3P items do you?

$60 is the bottom of the barrel low ball on something this size. It should come in at well under $100, my guess is $75 but I do dream of $60 and we know MMC is awesome with pricing.

This pretty much summarises how I feel about 3rd party G1 homages and new figures of G1 characters in general.

 

I might have to pick up 3 sets of each so I can display them in all there modes will decide after pricing hits.

 

agreed about birdhead in bot mode. Yet the upper part of the bot head helmet still is kind of beak like which I dig.

 

What UT is putting together looks like a good solid figure, but I'm now doubly sold on MMC's designs for Predaking, and the UT version just isn't matching up.

From the specs MMC is giving, Divebomb will be taller than their HOS seekers, by a half inch or so. Personally I see MMC setting the price at around $90 per figure, basically inline with Screacher, Stormer and Warper.

Beautifully put, that's what I've loved about the classics line from the start.

 

I paid my HoS Seekers 80,80 and 85 from captured prey. Those seekers may have been slightly shorter than these guys but they had a lot of extra engineering such as mech alive and automorph features.

I will not be thrilled with 90 because even TFC released their figures for 80. I think MMC can beat that.

 

Prices are almost locked, not giving the exact price until confirmed.

Hercules will have to look up to the big guy.

And the 6th thing....i wonder what people would say if.....nah i cant.

I wish we could see the face though. Tantrum has set a pretty high bar, you know? I expect nothing short of awesome from here on out.

 

If this set really lives up to expectations it's going to be one of the best if not the best set of 2013.

I don't see it, to be honest.
The wings look bladed and dangerous, as they should. I think it's just the amount of sharp angles on him. But that looks great to me.

I didn't mention 'spikeness,' but I think people are referring to the bird mode, with the knives attached to the shoulder and what appears to be clawed feet--these and other sharp-looking protrusions in alt mode that weren't present on the original design for Divebomb.

Personally, I'm not crazy about this modernized interpretation because I prefer more accuracy to G1 toy/cartoon design, but you clearly have a fanbase for this, and I hope you do well.

are we 100% that bird head isn't the top of the helmet? Kinda looks similar and there also appears to be something under the bird head in altmode....

 

These are going to be must pre-orders. I bet they will sell out, and the prices will eventually skyrocket on the second market. This set will be my priority over anything in 2013.
