While there is an announcement of a new venom being released soon, there is still room for some other inspirations. Lethal Protector being one of them! One of my personal favorite comic stories and the distinguished Venom appearance to boot! I used Anti-venom as a base and re-sculpted the head and forearms to better suit the concept. Details include wrinkles on the lips, wrinkles between the eyes, detailing of the gums and the sculpting of new longer fangs to match the art work. I painted him in a series of tones around the color sky blue to match the comic panels and till be coherent as a collectible color scheme. Spider was hand detailed to match the Pepsi card (inspired by comic book as well).

Man I love Lethal Protector! Have the PB and for me, the way Mark Bagley drew Venom in those days is the definitive Venom for me! If Sideshow or some other company would make a Premium Format Figure based on the Lethal Protector artwork I would buy it in a heartbeat!

 

Thanks, i feel like the closest there is to an official head of that series is the midformed face sculpt on the Marvel select venom (which was based on a pepsi card from the 90's)
