    One character?

Distinct lack of Deathadder or anything else that made the originals so cool... yeah, but no.

I'll bet you that there will quicktime events in this game...

I loved Golden Axe, but I'm skeptical that the franchise will translate well.

All of that Plus 2-3 players would have made it something I'd want, but it's like they think that we really cared about the AMAZING story and characters enough to play a game that shares the name and character from the original. I played Golden Axe 1-3 to beat the crap out of things with my friends. (And eachother sometimes)

Next up: Space Harrier, the RPG, and After Burner, The Cooking Game.

The article I read said they focused on one character so they could make sure the fighting mechanics were the best they could do. Supposedly Sega wants to continue the franchise with more characters and stuff if this one does well.

    Also like you said....BIKINIIIIIIIS!!!1111!!

Golden Axe sucked 20 years ago when Sega was a good developer. I have zero confidence that the Sega of today would be able to make this good. Taking a terrible publisher and tasking it with updating a terrible old game is not a formula for success.

Yeah, I went there. Golden Axe had stiff controls, even for the time. I didn't like it then, and time has been even less kind to it. It's pretty close to unplayable I think.

But I play it.... and I beat it on hard.... and I played and beat the sequel. Genesis Collection has even provided me the chance to play it again. And what's better than leading the dumb AI to run off a bridge? I know what.... playing soccer with the gnomes.
