I have a sealed Predaking reissue that I am considering selling and I noticed there are multiple pieces of tape sealing it. I was wondering if this is normal or has it been tampered with? I just don't want to misrepresent it when I sell it.
That's how mine was. The diecast in the toys was too heavy for the plastic shell and the structural integrity of the box required extra tape.
The Japanese view MISB differently. Frequently, they will break box seals to display the inner tray of an item. When bought, it gets sealed back up to no big deal. (DW book style reissues are practically designed to do this.) While in this case, I agree that I think the box was just too crappy to suppor the weight of the toys, the way that Japanese view MISB is something to keep in mind in the future.
My Predaking was MISB too when I got it and it was pretty badly beaten up. The box seems to be a common weak point.
