Haven't seen one of these in quite a while. Sealed Fort Max's don't seem to come 'round very often so thought I'd point it out for those who feel they have an extra couple of thousand $ they'd like to burn off. (lol at the $176 shipping charge to Can though) http://cgi.ebay.ca/G1-JAPANESE-FORT...oryZ4696QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Q: Dear sdamianef, Can you e-mail me close up picture shots of the tape where the box is sealed? Is the tape an original factory seal, or has it been resealed? Please send the pictures to my e-mail address of * Thanks, Brian 18-Feb-08 A: Sorry, but what you see are typically all of the pics I take. To the best of my knowledge original seal. See other postings. WTF?! That bothers me. I wouldn't bid. Totally gives a may not be MISB vibe. He has a AFA85 Alpha Trion/Weirdwolf for the low, low price of $850 or best offer. Wouldn't every unopened one grade this? Mint plastic bag!!
agreed, for such expensive item he really "should" take time and give people the pictures they want. But he choose to not to
What bothers me more about a MISB item with no window is that a TF collector can never be sure what's inside. The box can be filled with rocks for all we know, but he'll never find out as long as he keeps it MISB. Hmm, that gives me an idea...
There was a TFW Ebay thread about this Fort Max from this same Seller when he had it B.I.N. of $10,000.00. The only difference is back then it was sealed in an acrylic case, rejected for grading from AFA. Through emails, he admitted to it not being graded at AFA when he submitted it, but he would not respond when I asked him about the refusal report. I would be very curious to see some close-up pics of the tape, and flap corners on that Fort Max. I would really hate to see anyone on here overpay for an opened toy.
Yeah this seller always gave me a bad vibe when i asked questions, and then he went AFA crazy. His prices are NUTZ especially for Japanese items that are easy to find.
My question: "Dear sdamianef, Do you have additional pics you can add to the listing of the factory seals? - delphan_rane" Response: "Dear delphan_rane, See other postings, & please be sure to read entire auction. - sdamianef"
Massively dodgy IMO. Any decent seller with something at that sort of asking price would take whatever pics prospective buyers wanted.
If you look at the top flap where it meets the box there is obvious color breakage. It looks like a thin white light similiar to the scuffing along the sides of the flap. It usually indicates that the flap has been bent back from a sealed 90 degree position. I'm not sure with such a large box if that line could appear just from general movement but...perhaps. I agree with you might gaine he should have mentioned that this had been rejected by AFA. As a buyer though, it should be obvious that some thing is strange by the fact that any misb TF he has for sale has been graded by afa. Obviously he would have sent this in because he does that to every sealed toy he has. That's the way he works. If he has a "sealed" toy for sale that's not graded it's because it won't pass afa's guidelines. AFA is well,..AFA. Anybody want to take a guess how much this is worth just as a mib piece? I'm curious as to the market value.
Hmmm.. Ive looked at some of the other items he is selling. Well, lets just say that some of the stuff he is currently selling once belonged to me.
