I am wondering. All MISB collectors, do you take out the batteries out of those toys that have them already installed?

I think all lover of their Transformer toy should do it even if it mean making your toy MIB by doing that.

    Share your thought.

But if you leave them in, over years the battery will leak and destroy they toy.

But it will still be sealed which is the important thing, like a MISB Fort Max, which could well just have a stack of books inside. It's like Schrodingers Bot.

its "catch 22 " open it so the battery don't leak so it means instantly loses value as opened or leave it and hope it does not leak

just don't buy toys with batteries already in them if your an misb collector :)

Thankfully, it looks like Hasbro has been doing the whole "batteries not included" thing on some of their latest releases. I think a cost cutting measure for once that most of us have no problem with.

Yeah I guessed so. I did it to save my figure with battery but if battery leak is ruining it then the depreciation value will be much higher with more and more careful buyer around.

Yeah maybe Hasbro started to get some feedback from collectors. However, I can understand why they have the batteries in. So kids will have more fun playing them with all the bells and whistle immediately out of the box.

If '07 Leader Prime, or HFTD Leader Starscream are still MISB, (or any other AA toy) and the super cheap 'Powercell' batteries are still in there... well the toy's electonics might well be totally fucked.
