Has anyone found the deluxes locally? I'm beginning to think we were hosed here in the Twin Cities. I've spoken to a woman in the toy department at the Eagan store and both times she's indicated that there are no deluxes in store, at any of the stores, or at their warehouse. I'm beginning to wonder if they only got part of their deluxe order in and it went out to certain stores while the rest and the website were hosed for the time being. Eagan did have a case of 3x Override on the pallet that the worker said she'd be putting out. Nothing the the Apple Valley store.
Yesterday, a lady at Apple Valley scanned and said their shipment is expected on 8/12 (probably give or take). A kid at the Robert St store told me the same thing, and said they’re due for two cases. Maybe preorders are being delayed so they can divert stock to stores?
Could be. It would suck but those exclusive are supposed to be bait to get people like us shopping at Walmart for more than just robots. So I could see them wanting to get product on shelves. Not that Target doesn't often have the same problem with its POs. Exclusives suck, but I'm guessing without them we don't see many of those figures at all. And while for Target that would just mean fewer repaints, Walmart must be pickier and want those exclusive molds (Cosmos, Bee, Soundwave, etc)
Welp, got my preoders delayed AND a case of the 'rona, so I'm out of the cosmos hunt for a bit. It seems like deluxes in general are lagging behind everything else lately, as all of W2 Legacy has been spotted locally with the exception of deluxes (and core, but those are on Amazon?)
Apparently I don't even rate a email from Walmart, but yeah I already figured Walmart would pull a Walmart on my order.
Went out toy searching for my birthday and came home with a few cool new things... The G.I.Joes were from Andover Walmart, while the Override is from Northtown Walmart. Both stores had their toy resets done and tags for all of the Velocitron figures, but Northtown was the only one with actual toys out.
Nice finds! What Velocitron figures are left at Northtown? Any voyager Road Hauler? Last night at Minnetonka Target I found 5-6 Creatures Collide sets and 2-3 each of BB Terrorsaur and Dinobot. There was a slot for Motormaster but none on the shelf.
They only had three Overrides. They were stocking while I was there, but I didn't really want to look all over the boxes for anything. (To be honest I never really want to be in that particular Walmart for long if possible.)
Dang dude those are some finds in the Joe department! All I ever see is Cobra Commander and Lady Jaye. XD Shouki which was delayed is now moved up, so mine should be shipping from Pulse soon.
