Got in my Sudio Gnaw from Pulse today, he's chonky, but not as cuddly and ugly-cute as his previous legends scale figure

So we had my Dad's funeral today. Nothing fancy, just a small gathering in the cremation building for three hours.

My brother and his girlfriend brought donuts from a local bakery that were so big, they might as well have been cakes cause you definitely had to use a fork to eat them. A cousin brought a cooler of water and the cremation place had coffee on hand.

It was a decent turnout, people that were friends of Dad came as well as the family members on his side still in the state as well as a majority of family from my Mom's side.

Anybody frequent TJ Maxx enough to know if they've started getting TFs in again? I know around the holidays they usually start bulking up their toy aisle.

Also, if anyone happens to spot Studio Grimlock (Bayverse) or Studio Starscream (SS06?) at any of the local comic shops, keep me posted. In the makret for the former and tempted about the latter the more jets I get in hand.

You mean the first Studio Series movie Starscream and not the "tattooed" Revenge of the Fallen one, right?

It's actually I feel one of the more satisfying Studio Series figures. Once I transformed it once, it was easy to do it multiple times, and it's really fun to do. Highly recommend him if you can get him cheap.

Eagan Target has the Soundwave...wave of Core (Soundwave, Prime, Megs, Dracodon), as well as the Cheetor wave of Cyberverse Deluxes (Soundwave, Grimlock, Thunderhowl, Cheetor)

Oh, also Galvatron with the good shoulders.

    ----

Eagan Walmart has all of the Dracodon, a few Soundwave and a lone Prime/Starscream Core.

If anyone happens to see TFs at TJ Maxx let me know here if you remember. Regardless of what it is.

Got a TJ Maxx gift card from my wife's aunt as a bday gift and I know this time of year they generally have some pretty diverse toy offerings.

    ----

    Also...MOAR DINOSAURS!!

Man I'm really torn on that JP set. On one hand, the T-rex is definitely an improvement over BW Megs (everything about the panels and transformation just WORKS better than my BW Megs), but the Jeep feels kinda cheap. And he's just an '86 Jazz retool, which is fiiiine, but just feels kinda jank. A $100 price tag for those two is a little high, IMO, but they do look great together in alt mode.

Also got NewAge's Pistolonyx (Whatever the black repaint of Megatron is called) this weekend, and man they are doing some nutty stuff in legends scale. Between that and their Bee/Cliff, I'm really looking forward to what they do next. Of course I shipped my PoL from TCP right before IF Powerglide and the Cang Legends-scale Divebomb came in stock. ><

Also also, that slug I preordered from Target a billion years ago finally shipped so if anyone needs a slug....

The only thing I was disappointed about it is how small the Ford is.

The irony there might be it's a little big if we're talking scale since a T-rex is like 40 feet long and a ford explorer is at least 14 1/2 feet long.

Missed this on the flap the first time I opened it. Never mind all criticism, 10/10 for Mr. DNA.

Yeah JP93 is...fine. But it doesn't feel like $100 worth of stuff here. As much as I love the paint work on both.

I'd give it a wait if you haven't already bought one. It'll likely come down over time.

But in the meantime, hats off to a fairly decent head sculpt at least.

    Wait...JP93 is a retool of SS86 Jazz?

*glances at the figures in photos*

Huh...I don't see a lot of stuff to suggests Jazz outside of the shoulders/front tires switching.

In other news...anyone ever had a credit card with a chip break on you?

I was using a credit card yesterday and it worked fine at the first stop, but the second stop...Target, the stupid chip reader kept giving me the "Chip Malfunction" thing that usually you keep trying and it works eventually. Well, apparently one of the times I tried it must have damaged the chip as after that, the card wouldn't work...chip or tap function at all, and I tried it at a few different stores.

So now I have a new card coming as apparently if the chip is damaged, it also damages the "Tap" function. "The more you know..."

I have never head one break. But yeah, the chip is what 'tap' reads. So if that breaks the whole thing goes down. I would tell you to swipe it - but swiping with a card with a chip just gives a read error where it tells you to insert it. I think you're stuck. Bummer. :-(

Maybe set up Google Pay/Samsung Pay/Apple Pay depending on your phone?

Shakopee Walmart must have received a big shipment of toys. A couple each of Waspinator, Tracks, and Shadow Panther.

Lots of vintage Joes but looked like Stalker and Cobra Trooper.

Even had some Star Wars Black Aura Sing and Bo Katan. I grabbed Bo Katan.
