Shakopee's pretty decent. I have the rare streak of luck at EP. Bloomington... always has cops parked out front so... that's a choice. Meanwhile, Hidden Walmart is forgotten by everyone, including Walmart distribution - I have literally had an employee there tell me "Yeah we get stuff like a month later than everyone else", but on the other hand... only place I saw TLK Scorn and Nitro for a WHILE.
Does anyone one else feel like Panther and Waspy have some fairly tight joints compared to their other Kingdom stuff? Like, I cannot rotate Waspy's insect legs on the mushroom pegs.
Having made the insane drive to Elk River to grab him, I can say Waspinator is pretty tight. Those insect legs are tight, and one would rather pop out than actually turn, but they have loosened up a bit. The wing ball joints are actually a bit loose in certain areas. But yeah, overall fairly solid, especially next to say… Tracks?
I'd try using some thing like silicone shock fluid 30W, does wonders when I'm having trouble with tightness in my model kits Unrelatedly, has anyone tried removing the burn marks from the Ark? I'm curious how it looks without them
I haven't had a chance to transform mine yet, but I'm hoping the insect legs don't need to rotate for bug mode. After what happened to @einhazard's Megatron and his mushroom peg knee swivel I'm hesitant to screw around with something like this.
The legs do need to rotate for bug mode, but the mushroom peg slots are better reinforced than on megatron. I was worried about mine, but I was able to work them until they moved.
This is the most American thing I’ve ever seen. I am in possession of an extra Sweep and Rodimus Prime if anyone needs them. Both sealed.
Thanks again to T-Hybrid for the Studio Series Slug. He is definitely a chunky guy and looks great next to Grimlock. Now I just need to wait patiently for the other Dinobots.
Glad to help out! Hopefully the other three Dinobots don't leave us waiting too long. Also, among the multiple Targets I was at yesterday, one had the TMNT/Cobra Kai crossover sets. Are people looking for those? I *think* it was Richfield.
Hold on, let me get you some pics. It's not that bad from the side. THere's a chunk of green torso under his arm that fills it in. As to the insect legs, maybe it's mine, but they've each got a thin (and I mean *thin* ridge on them, that seems to go with an equally thin ridge on the green plastic in the well the mushroom pivots on). His right leg only rotates one way, and then hits the lip and stops. His left leg popped off when I tried to turn it. I'm checking if it's misassembled. My thinking is the lip on the brown legs are on the wrong side of the lip inside the green leg piece. I'm thinking it may be worth it to just file that little ridge off the beast legs so it doesn't hit the lip. It's plenty tight WITHOUT what appears to be a stopper.
Stopped by the Bloomington Target, someone had nabbed the Gnaw and Slug, so I grabbed a spare Jazz, they had another Jazz, but that one had clearly been returned
Sorry if this brings down the mood of the forum a bit, I just have to vent a little... Just a little update here about things with my Dad... He passed away this morning... I thank everyone that offered thoughts and prayers... He went through a lot in his life, especially these past couple years. I have to hope he is now at peace.
Thanks. Yeah...my Dad had been fighting health issues for over a decade. The whole COVID thing back in December and 2020 and this most recent health issue...they were just too much. And we knew he would pass on at some point, just not as quickly as it ended up...
Man I'm so sorry to hear this. I feel like it was just a week or so ago that we were talking about this up at the shop... Let me know if there is anything you need, or if you just want to talk.
