Just grabbed a SS86 Hot Rod from Champlin Target. Someone else about 30 seconds ahead of me had Scourge and another Hot Rod I’m hand. Nothing else there, but the SS86 figures are starting to be put out.
SS86 is part of the standard SS line. So all the assortment DPCIs will be the same. Kingdom are the new ones.
Grabbed the only Hot Rod from Knollwood Target. The only other new stuff was the repackaged Bumblebee movie SS figures and whatever that garbage truck bumblebee thing is.
Coon Rapids had all the Kingdom Deluxe figures this morning. Bought all but the Fossilizer one, whatever has name was. And then later this afternoon I met up with Rodimus Pie here and bought the Ratchet/Lifeline Amazon 2-pack off him. (Screw you for cancelling my order, Amazon!) After that, I went to Andover Target looking for G.I.JOE Classified Cobra Vipers, but instead found the 86 movie Studio Series Hot and Rod and Scourge. One Hot Rod was left. Man...two days in a row of Transformers bombardment...my wallet is no longer on speaking terms with me.
We must be good luck for each other. I went and got the last Hot Rod at Coon Rapids, then went over to Fridley and got the last Scourge! Two HRs left at Fridley.
IGH Target put out Voyagers and now has 6 Thrust. Still some BA and Paleo, as well as Vertebreak and Core Prime. Also st least one esch of Cyclonus/Primal. No Leaders.
Took a hairdryer to Megatron. Couldn't move the peg, but...kinda?...reshaped the rubber? Didn't really want to press my luck anymore than this... BEFORE: AFTER:
Easily the best hot rod. I prefer the animated car but that's just a styling preference, and in robot mode there is no contest
I wonder how far off we are from Grimlock. Besides Eagan's Megatron and that Scavenger at IGH, I haven't seen many SS Leaders around.
Pikachu looks like it’s delivering Megatron’s baby. Lol. Man, I was surprised at so many Kingdom sightings. Now SS is popping up. Wonder if I went to the same places tomorrow if they’d have Hot Rod and Scourge.
Bite your tongue lad, that's Jolteon! Don't blame you though considering Funkos are known for their dead eyes and plain faces. I was at IGH yesterday and when I returned today the Voyagers were new. Will be interesting to see if 86 stuff pops up while I'm at AV tomorrow again grocery shopping. Their Kingdom delxues had been picked through, Cores were in back, and no sign of Voyagers or Leaders. My theory is Grimlock is street dated. Apparently he's all alone with no casemate...so all those "2 in stock" when there's nothing on the floor seem sus.
Did anyone read those rumors that kingdom Meg will be made into rexy? Before I would’ve been stoked but with the issues I’m not holding my breath. Also the rumor that more SG figures will be released is interesting.
My Hot Rods shoulders were scary tight, so I disassembled the arms and sanded them down a bit. I also added some orange to the spoiler and some red to the collar.
I assume we’ll see the SS86 deluxes in a number of days, at least. I bet Grimlock will be one of those Target-mistake-street-dates.
One ghostbusters afterlife Ectotron left at Fridley target. Found studio series hot rod at shoreview target, but no other ones were there. He's a surprisingly good figure, seems to do everything that masterpiece hot rod does but on a smaller scale, with a smaller backpack, a car mode with actual ground clearance, and a price tag 1/3 the size. I like him a lot.
