G.I.JOE classified series And some new cyberverse Battle call stuff found at my local target in Fridley MN
Edina target has two Snapdragons a bunch of Rungs a Slitherfang and two sets of the Decepticon clones.
Bloomington has a bunch of the wave 2 micromasters from earthrise (autobot shuttle and decepticon race cars).
Grabbed both sets about 15 mins ago. 2x Shuttle set and 3x Race cars left. Edina Target has just one new race car set on the pegs, but they were otherwise full of old product, so I’m guessing there’s more of the new guys in back.
Actually, the other new guys came home with me. XD (grabbed 1 set for me and 1 for T-hybrid) You must have come through RIGHT after me! They also had a bunch of 8-pack for S5 botbots (still many left) a snapdragon (I grabbed him) and those new Power Rangers zords (only one full set, and I grabbed it). One clone pack left when I was there, too.
I just now noticed they mixed up Roller Force and Ground Hog’s names on the back of the card. Roller Force (pink dude) is SO DAMN CUTE, I just want to boop his nose, but he doesn’t have one!!!
Yeah, by and large I haven't really been impressed by the Micromasters over Siege and ER (aside from Counterpunch and Direct Hit), but both of these sets are GREAT. Ground Hog and Roller Force are simple with great decos, and Fuzer & Blast Master are just fantastic from start to finish. Their combined mode is great, their individual bot modes are cool, and their transformations are a lot better than other Micromasters we've gotten. I'm glad they didn't try to cram a weapon mode into the Astro Team, though they still have the 5mm pegs for it. Snapdragon's pretty cool too. I think I'm still partial to Ape Face, but I think Snapdragon does a better jet mode and his transformation is fun and surprising but less finnicky than Ape Face. Also for those wondering about the new PR Megazord... it's... weird. For $45 for all 3, I'd say it's worth it if you like zords and are just planning on displaying the megazord. The plastic is VERY VERY SOFT, so it feels a bit light and cheap, but the lightness makes it so that all its limbs work well on friction alone (there are a few sorta ratchets). The articulation is just bizarre though. It doesn't have neck, wrist, anckle, or knee articulation, but it does have shoulder, elbow, bicep, waist, and hip articulation. I guess if you want a big megazord for a small budget, this guy is a pretty good choice. I don't like that they used stickers for the shoulder logos, but it's not the end of the world. ::EDIT:: Also forgot to mention: Edina Target also had 1 Cyberverse Deluxe Arcee hidden amongst the grimlocks.
Completely agree about the Micromasters in this line as a whole. Most use the same transformations, even when the G1 versions didn’t. Not sure why they couldn’t do any flip-down hood/chests. Probably because they had to accommodate the dry-humping combined modes. So when they change it up a bit, like this wave, it’s pretty satisfying.
So apparently wave 2 of the G.I.Joe Classified figures is showing up in stores now (Cobar Commander, Gung Ho, and Red Ninja). Ugh. Just got through getting those Target exclusive ones (missing Baroness still). I wanna stop being in Target stores so much. XP
Yeah, I heard Chicago for Wave 2 was the closest. I have a Cobra Commander coming in the mail tomorrow (hopefully). Traded a Trooper to a guy in Vegas.
Those do look really nice. I don’t know if I want to go down that rabbit hole. Have SE, will grab regular release Storm shadow if/once it comes out, but that’ll be it. Still searching for NECA’s last two Godzilla figures. Looks like NECA completely skipped over Minnesota, haven’t seen anything new on shelves for weeks. No turtles either.
Well finally got around to pre ordering the amazon ex only to my dismay that the coneheads was unavailable. Hopefully more will turn up or I will have to look at Takara Tomy.
