Picked up PotP Elita-1 today, and wow, the colors are vibrant and really make her stand out. Fantastic head sculpt as well. She looks really good in hand, I'm pretty impressed.

I used my last $5 rewards at Minnetonka TRU on a G2 Superion CW set. They were 30% off of $70 and my total came to $47 with tax. Three sets were left, and about three each of the Air Attack BM Optimus Primal and Cybertron Primus. Most other TFs were gone.

Wow, I saw like 3 rows of those G2 Superions the last time I was there.

I believe it. The place was packed like a Saturday in December. 20-minute line to get to a cashier.

Probably the last time I ever shop at a TRU, kinda sad.

Are these thing actually selling now? I bought mine for $30 back when HTS was clearing them out, they did it on the website and ebay. I don't think any of the general release G2 sets sold well.

Probably people not in the know about those sales. But really, the way Hasbro is still making combiners, those older sets may still be sought-after in years to come.

Prowl, Silverbolt, and Ironhide saw price jumps after the Magnaboss duo came out at Botcon. So I could see there being a market for the stuff in a few years.

Side Note: Cedar Cliff, who had a wode array of Animated stuff for pretty cheap (including Safeguard, Samurai Prowl, Dinobots, Wreck-Gar, etc got pretty much wiped out of it since I was last there.

In its place are a few PotP things though. Starscream (no feet or enigma), Slug (no armor) and Slash. Also a CW Cyclonus.

What's the significance? I don't know who Magnaboss is. My Beastwars knowledge is lacking.

He was the BW Maximal combiner. His parts were named Prowl (Lion) Silverbolt (bald eagle with literally no silver on him), and Ironhide (elephant)

Wasn't one of the three parts of that BW combiner prone to breakage, or am I think of something else?

Silverbolt, since he's mostly made of bronze-ish plastic and has GPS

I haven't seen wave 2 deluxes since the initial sweep we had a couple weeks ago. They'll prolly crop up by EOM tho, I imagine.

Were the Primus 30% off as well? Trying to decide on my threshold for them.

There was a "30% off all figures" sign right over them, so most likely yes.

And Funpub went one step further the last few years and retroactively confirmed they were *the* Ironhide, Prowl, and Silverbolt.

How has the distribution for wave 2 been? I picked up Battleslash and Roadtrap awhile ago but I still want to grab Darkwing, Rippersnapper, Elita 1, and Hun-gurr.

Is it currently worth trying to hunt these down in stores or should I just stick to online purchases?

Beyond the Voyagers and Legends there was only an initial wave of Deluxes at Walmart but those all passed quickly. Considering we're still waiting for even the online stores to get their Deluxes out to people I wouldn't be shocked if those lag behind and don't start hitting shelves until April.

Going into stores now there's just a bunch of pegs where Deluxes used to hang with maybe a few lone Dreadwind's taking up space.
