Yep. those were the same ones that were there when I stopped there over the weekend. Going to stop and look for Classics on the way home tonight.
I don't think scalpers are that much of a big deal when it comes to completely new series, are they? I mean, when the toys get put on the shelves they're put out in such numbers that you'd have to spend 500 dollars to get them all off the shelf. Good thing I'm gonna be in Maple Grove tonight, I'll check their Target and WalMart after rehearsal.
Also, the woman at the Maplewood TRU told me yesterday that they would be getting a truck in last night. Apparently others have been calling/asking as she didn't even need to check whether or not they had any in, she just went immediately into telling me that they weren't there but that they were expecting a shipment.
FYI: Just called WB&94 Target and checked on the Voyagers. They list Prime and Megs as "no location" AKA "not in this store". Didn't someone say a while ago that the NE stores (St. Paul, Oakdale, No. St. Paul, etc.) are serviced from a different distribution center? Seems like we might be getting the shaft here again.
Took the Classic DCPI numbers to the Maple Grove Target. He told me they were on a "transition pallet" and couldn't get them for me.
Afraid not, finding a box on a transition pallet is inconvenient at best. Noone in the store will be willing to look.
if anyone is interested, I just picked up a Cyb. Galvatron from E.P. WalMart in their clearance aisle for $25. There was one left. The box was crushed, but the contents were in perfect condition. Located on the bottom shelf at the absolute end of the first aisle. I was waiting to get some sort of deal on this guy. This is the best I have seen so far.
I'd call wherever you go first. When the woman ran the Voyager merchandise locate for me yesterday she did not list Bloomington as a place that had the Voyagers. I have no idea on the deluxes though and that information could be wrong if they stocked last night.
I'm gonna check it out, I have some stuff to get there anyways. I'll let you guys know if I find anything.
so does anyone know when they're planning on putting these things front and center? I mean, how long will we have to ask them to go in back?
I called Bloomington, Edina, NE, Knollwood (now open), and St. Louis Park. I gave them the DCPI's and got zilch. The associates were telling me Classics were part of their Christmas re-set, and they should be out in the next couple weeks. One guy told me a few stores are doing their resets a bit early, though. Hence the sightings.
