I bought that Stay Puft bank just the other day at a local comic shop. I was like "Oh....Stay Puft...ring me up now!!". I missed it at SDCC and was disappointed, but now I have it so the world is fine now. I have it on display at work along with a few loose Ghostbusters minimates aiming at it. I still need to buy that first Boxset and Previews exclusive 2-pack. Besides the Marvel minimates, this series is second in line. I also picked up wave 27 which I thought I had missed entirely but I guess they were delayed. YAY!!
Went on a Minimate shopping spree on eBay and at a online shop recently and picked up the following: I just need a few more DC C3 sets to complete the series.
That Defenders box set is the best Minimate box set yet, in my opinion. Every figure in there is a complete winner, and it contains the definitive Minimate Hulk. I love that set. Congrats on picking it up! I know that Batcopter and Javelin cost you a pretty penny, though. Updated Ghostbusters: On my desk at work:
For some reason I thought I already picked up the Defenders boxset when it came out. I went through my Minimates collection and noticed that I didn't have one, so I just had to pick it up. As for the DC C3 sets, the Batcopter was the cheapest out of the 3. The Batcycle was the expensive one, followed by the Javelin. I just need a Batman Batmobile set, Mini-Batmobile, Batwing, Batglider, Darkseid Throne Room set, the Batcave and the Joker's Chemical Warehouse set. I could have sworn I had extras of certain sets cause I have some of them open, but I didn't. So now I have to look for some sealed set.
Picked up the new TRU exclusive wave at TRU today. But no luck with the Angel/Warpath pack. Someone got there before me. Still need to pick up another complete set for my brother as well.
Picked up Ghostbusters Series 1 box set today. Very cool, especially Louis-to-Gozer-dog! (Though his dog butt is a chore to pull off.)
I was going through some toys yesterday and found an unopened 2 pack of Superman/Lex Luthor in his armored suit. These are very cool!! I am now going to try to find and buy some more.
Congrats! I haven't run across those yet, but am really looking forward to Molecule Man and Electro. Plus, the Spidey head under the "insulated" version seems to work well with the Spidey bodies from recent waves that had the "sheath" Spidey masks.
Should get easier to find (on eBay if nowhere else) as time goes on. Scalpers are probably learning that these don't hold much of a value, particularly no long term value, and I suspect they will stop trying to hoard up the TRU exclusives. BTW, regarding your sig, my first Minimates 2 pack was Blue Beetle (my favorite DC character after Speedy) and Booster Gold. It has been a long, down-hill slide since then. I'm sure that I've spent several thousand dollars on these bastards.
Funny thing is, I've yet to pick up the Booster Gold/Blue Beetle set. But I managed to find an Angel/Warpath set up in NorCal this past weekend. I visited an old TRU store I frequented back in the days when I attended UCSC.
Picked up the latest Marvel Minimates to come out at the local comic shop and TRU store. I still need the TRU Exclusive 2-pack of Logan and Hawkeye from the Old Man Logan storyline.
I only discovered Minimates recently. I saw some for sale at a local toycon. I got the Supergirl/Bizarro pack. They are so cute! I'm now looking for the Powergirl/Dr. Fate pack. Now if only they'll make TF Minimates!
bbts has some preorders with pics of the new Halo minimates: Halo Minimates Series 01 Box Set - Halo 3 & Halo Wars Kubricks & Minimates Halo Minimates Warthog Vehicle Set - Halo 3 & Halo Wars Kubricks & Minimates one of the sets apparently comes with a warthog. I'm honestly not sure what to think about these.
My Minimates haul from yesterday: I got all of the Ghostbusters Wave 3 from TRU,just have to order the boxset from my local comic shop. I also have all of Wave 1 including the box set,but I missed out on Wave 2 so I'm playing catch up now.
i just opened this thread to say i got the happy hogan 2 pack and the battle damaged whiplash 2 pack. then i saw the halo figures and said goodbye to all my money.
