These have always been one of those things on my "To Eventually Buy List", due to both my interest in Marvel Comics and their compatibility with Alternators, but I've just never gotten around to buying any. I came close a couple times, but yesterday I finally found the one set I could never forgive myself for passing up.

Havok and Polaris. I had absolutely no idea they were even going to make them, two of my favorite X-Men characters, and there they were at the local comic store. (I just found out that they're part of the newest wave which just came out in stores) Granted, I would rather have seen them in different costumes (specifically Peter David's X-Factor), but I just had to have them. And I love them! They're so much fun to pose and play around with.

Clearly it didn't take very long for me to start swapping some parts. :lol  (Lorna's having fun but Alex is so not amused)

As for the Alternators compatibility, I tried Omega Supreme-1's Prowl and Rumble, who were a bit of a tight fit for Havok's headdress (Prowl especially) and I didn't even want to try Polaris with her hair on. But the good thing is I have Battle Ravage and Windcharger at home (convertibles for the win!)

Now I have a bad feeling I'm going to start catching up on Minimates. Not that it's a bad thing, but I need to slow down some of my spending. At least they're relatively cheap (the comic store charged $8.99, but I've seen them cheaper elsewhere, and this set was worth the price).

So does anyone else collect Minimates? Got pics of your collection? Wacky combinations? Come on and post them!

HOly crap, the new wave came out? Looks like I get to make a trip to the local comics shop. :)

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Minimates. Started heavily collecting, then slowed down for a while, and then got right back into it after the release of the new DC Minimates and the Marvel Zombies Minimates. Here's a layout I used to have on my shelf, until TFs came and completely took it over.

Comic-Con Exclusive Zombie Daredevil and Ant-Man, anyone?

Here's my acquisitions from a couple months ago.

It's freaking amazing how much more detailed these little guys are getting.

A couple weeks ago I bought the newest Zombie Minimates, Black Panther and Iron Man, and I haven't even opened it yet.

I started buying them just as the DC minimates line started and got wave 7 last week and picked up Marvel waves 19 & 20 yesterday. Now I am trying to find some of the sets from older Marvel waves and really looking forward to the Civil War set announced at Toyfair.

I think I have about 120 of them. Should really do a count one day.
They are little bits of plastic crack.

I'll see your Comic-Con Zombie Daredevil and Ant-Man and raise you a Zombie Iron Man and Black Panther (though you already have them :p )

But I'll also add in Exclusives Scarlet Spider and Hobgoblin

I'm feeling tempted to go back to FYE soon and see if they still have the Scarlet Spider and Hobgoblin set I almost bought the last time I was there. Minimate Hobgoblin would go nice with my ToyBiz Hobgoblin.

Nice. I wish Palisades hadn't gone out of business. I so would have bought those.

I love the Marvel Minimates. The past couple of series have been kinda blah, but the latest 2 waves are awesome. I just wish that they would continue making a lot more of the Marvel Zombie Minimates.

Here is a pic of just my Marvel series. I have a few DC and Street Fighter minimates as well (not pictured). That box holding the earlier minimates is from a display Walmart had for them. Was able to snag two of those (gave the other to my brother).

I just splurged on Minimates. Went to LCS, saw they had the Previews Exclusive USAgent and Taskmaster, snatched that, and then got a couple of the newer wave Marvel Minimates, Archangel/Apocalypse and Mysterio/Spider-Man.

I was this close to buying Batman/Clayface, but I wanted Mysterio more.

I really hate that I missed the DC wave with Green Arrow and Deathstroke; that was the ONE set I was looking forward to.
