https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmY3jd0z8ho "Half human, half robot, all Mighty" "In the year 2099, humans have become dependent on robots not just for manual labor but also entertainment. The most powerful robots in the world fight in front of humans in a popular league called the Battle Colosseum. BECK is a small combat robot made to fight in the Battle Coliseum as a part of the MIGHTY NUMBERS, the strongest robots in the world. But since Beck is the only robot in the world with a human heart, he’s also the only robot that gets scared in combat. The good news is that he also possesses the ability to turn into any other robot. The bad news is that since his emotions are wired to his abilities, he often finds himself malfunctioning in battle. One day a notorious engineer named DR. BLACKWELL releases a virus that infects every robot in the world…everyone except Beck. Dr. Blackwell remotely controls the infected Mighty Numbers to lead a rebellion to destroy mankind. Beck suddenly becomes the only robot available to stop the Mighty Numbers. As Beck tries to save the world, he will be joined by CALL, his overly serious robotic sidekick; DR. WHITE, the young but socially inept creator of the Mighty Numbers; and DR. SANDA, the lazy but wise team leader. With each of their help, Beck will learn how to deal with his emotions and become the hero they need him to be." Should be released around mid 2016.
Wait, what? This game started as a kickstarter... and now it has a full-fledged tv show? Did I miss a major piece of news or something?
Kickstarter game by the same creator Man game hasn't even come out yet. But there is a cartoon? We don't even know if it's good yet.
My god, he WAS serious about turning this into a series, and possibly a movie. Really hope this takes off.
More video game cartoons that aren't Pac-Man are a good thing. Just hope the humor in the show isn't like the humor in the trailer.
Wat. Bit slapstick... and... IDK... pushing it. The story is exactly the Dr. Light/Wily tale... as it were the game is pushing it with just how close it is to the old Megaman series. I get it, Inafune co-created the series, but Capcom owns the IP. Frankly I'm amazed Capcom hasn't said *anything* about the game...
Hope it is straight to DVD and held back by the restrictions of network television. I always wish that there was a proper Mega Man anime like the cutscenes from MM8 and MHX, I guess this will have to do and no the 90's series does not count.
Wow. A new TV series to a game that is still in development, usually I would find this odd, but it demonstrate the cult follown MN9 is getting before it even becomes a thing. Megaman has had a pair of short live TV series (the American version and the Batte-Network Anime) I saw them and didn't hate them, though love the MM Fighting Robot the most out of nostalgia, and I have long wanted a MM X series. If Capcom had taken notes to what fans wanted they wouldn't be in the mess they are now. As for the trailer, I don't mind the comedy route for Beck: Megaman has always been a serious tune on the animated and games series. Making Beck kinna like a the "runt of the littter", trying to do his best but always backfiring in his face, makes Beck unique when one compares it to Rock. Megaman was a success of the line since day one, as Beck must still proof itself to the world, even if everything seems to fail.
That is adorable. Can't wait for this when it comes out. I'm amazed they are going to make Mighty No.9 a all out franchise. If this does well Capcom's gonna be piiiiiised.
