http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/09/technology/microsoft_origami.reut/index.htm?cnn=yes Kinda dissappointed that it's just a souped up mix between a Pocket PC and a Tablet PC. Don't get me wrong, it looks cool...kinda. It might just be too much in one device, but with a price tag as low as $599, it might lure gadget fans in. I was really hoping for something like an Xbox portable or something like that.
Eh, I'm to much of a power freak to get something that small. It is pretty cool for what it is though.
Man, I haven't done Origami in ages. Used to be a hobby of mine. I think I still remember how to make a goldfish...
overly hyped and overrated. MS's attempt to steal Apple's ipod market and Sony's psp market. i dont blame 'em tho. just need to come up w/ something better. i see their "niche" market being not businessmen but the soccer mam waiting in the van checkin emails for gossip and playing online wheel of fortune. wait, no KEYBOARD
its touchscreen with an onscreen keyboard, also if you watch the video's you can get a normal keyboard for it.
It's too big. Portability is a key factor, and using this as an mp3 player, video game player, movie player and organizer will be cumbersome.
and your right. keyboard sold seperatly. and an onscreen keyboard will take away from viewing. it couldve been better and i'm sure it will get better thru its evolution. but like i said, overrated.
