With things like Minicons and Legends class figures, does anyone else think it'd be a good time to return to that kinda figures? I mean, Think of it this way. Repaints of minicons and all new molds. They could release that as an entire subline. Release figures with bases like they did with the micromasters. They could have, let's say, an Optimus Prime with an Autobot base, and a Megatron with a Decepticon base. other major characters could come with mini bases to attach to those ones. and since they're so small, they could release lots of characters for reletivly lower price. Heck, they could even release them as part of the universe 2.0 line.

With minicons around, micromasters would be pretty redundant. I would like to see more minicons, though, and some bases for them. I'd love a minicon-scale Fort Max.

In Japan they're "Microns" in both generations, and the Japanese canon definitely considers Armada to be a sequel to Zone/Battlestars/Operation Combination.

So we recently HAD that revival. A few of the Armada figures even hit all the points neccesary to count as proper Battlestars-esqe toys, notably Prime and Demolisher (i.e. 3 modes, vehicle, robot, base).

That said, I would LOVE to have more microns, and especially more playset'y type guys. I was SOOOOOO hoping they'd retool G1 Overlord to have his trigger-points be hard-points instead of god-master-slots. He'd be the BEST darn micron base. And he's a darn good toy, even by modern standards.

Rambling, but yes, may microns live forever. Even if the last few batches kinda sucked.

I love the link port. Classics minicons did remind me alot of micromasters.

Miniconmasters as a sidebar item for classics universe?

Mini-cons are today's Micromasters. That said, a sub-line based around them with bases would be awesome. (even if the bases didn't transforme into robots) If it were a line unto itself, I could even see mainline characters like OP and Megatron becoming Mini-cons.

i refer to minicons as micromasters anyway, minicon sounds like a decepticon subgroup, just like the minibots were in G1

What we need over here are Micron Booster style products.

Armada hinted at the whole "Gotta catch em all" thing, but never really delivered on it, at least not in the States. Give kids and collectors $2 blind packed Minicons. Good times and impulse buying all around!

I completely endorse this proposal. It would be cool if we could get minicon's with transforming bases ala Hot House, Grease Pit, etc. Armada Prime was a plus with this in mind, but we need more on oboth sides.

Armada Megs practicaly turned into a fortress. Plus, Energon Scorponok has a pretty cool city mode. (not official, of course)

I love Mini-cons and Micromasters. I don't care what they're called. I like having the ports on the bigger bots to connect the smaller bots.

unofficially. RID optimus prime has minicon ports. But officially he has a base mode that works nicely with minicons.

nice,i only have the bw/bm/rid lines, but that takes up some room.

reading the tech-specs,i was under the impression that the names used for those micromaster things like hothouse, greaspit, ect. were the names of the characters that came with those things.--except for the obvious ones like missle command base or whatever.

Blind packaging would be fun at first, but get irritating real fast when you end up with 5 of the same figure, 4 of another, etc etc just trying to get the last one to complete the set.

And as much as I don't like minicons(for the silly power up things), they're pretty much the same thing as micromasters, they just plug into random ports on TF's.
