Brawl and Swindle are near identical in the SDCC and Platinum sets, I seem to recall? I think Peaugh's got a video up on it somewhere.

Really hope that's the case. I'll have to poke around Peaugh's video to see the comparisons, thanks!

Damn it. Now I'm going to have to get the platinum set if I see it again. I was gonna just sell my echo kit when this came in, but now I can have both! Double the bruticus double the fun!

Nice touch! Looks like we have to wait until the first set is released in June to hear more about other sets, but seems like everything is hunky dory. These guys are really cramming in a lot of stuff for the value. Damn this just too awesome, I might have to get a second set and grab Platinum Bruticus, haha.

So what's the difference between the Platinum/SDCC set and the stuff they're giving away for the preorder right now? If i use this first release stuff on Platinum Bruticus will it look the same except Onslaught will look different?

MBC is really giving us more bang for the buck with this awesome early-bird set! I really hope all the arguments about the price are settled with this latest development.

I dont think they will do a platinum set unless they just sell it minus the fruticus parts. In their facebook post they said they will announce the "Takara/G2/Wreckers" in June

So wreckers version would mean a semi proper Voyager Impactor, yes please.

I've given up on Igear ever coming through with theirs

I think this is the case. If I read their Facebook post right, the SDCC/Platinum parts that come free with early bird preorders now will still be available after 04/25, but at a cost.
Looks like you'd still have to buy the regular MBC0002 for Onslaught and the other parts, so if you own retail, SDCC or Platinum versions of Bruticus, now is the time to preorder. :)

I wonder how their Impactor will look like. Will he be an IDW/G1 impactor, or will he have a more FOC look? Or will he be just an Onslaught retool with a new head?

I would assume it would be the same figure just with an impactor head just like the retail one

It would be awesome if MBC did some more extensive remolding for Impactor. Like a modified torso. I understand the limitations of the FOC design on Impactor, he won't be IDW per say, but it would be cool if they did a few more changes if only to make Ruination a little more unique from Bruticus. I'm already thinking of sticking with FOC Twintwist and Topspin in my Wreckers display as it is.

Awesome news on the SDCC parts. Glad I bought this. Contemplating buying a second set now to support them and to go with my two sets.

    One would hope.

I mean they could just do straight up repaints for the group... or go all out and do a proper Ruination set... the latter is a pretty substantial effort since the limb addons would have to be completely redesigned, on top of an extensive retool/reshell for Impactor.

That other bit about early birds getting the extra bits for SDCC/Platinum is a really sweet deal. Buy the set, basically have a full Energon or SDCC/Plat Brut from the get-go. Makes the whole package even sweeter than the 10$ discount... and well...

If you either wanted to beef up a second Bruticus... you can. The feet bit are easy enough to put on the Stock or Booticus-upgraded sets... the arms, except for the rifle/adapters should also be usable to an extent.

Frankly wish I had the 110$ to put down on these... =/
