With keeping everything together crotchwise you need to make sure the green flaps are pushed back in and everything should click into place then hold. I've never had a problem like that although I have seen it reported commonly.

As for standing straight, slight adjustments, like the left leg one click back and the right leg straight, the upper thighs and feet positioned in a natural way to balance/compliment the pose work beautifully and make him look like a total hardass just waiting to unleash the storm.

I did try to get those flaps back into the recessed areas for them but I'll see if I can get them pushed back any more. The issue is it'll kinda plug in but the second I move one of the thighs it completely gets unpegged from the crotch plate and them from each other. I'll see what kind of adjustments I can make in there though.

And   at your second paragraph :lol

I got tired of it always separating so I just used a small rubber band to keep it together.

Not the best solution but it works..

I don't have mine in front of me but doesn't pegging the shoulder cannons in up top help keep it together? I don't recall mind having this problem, but I did take a long ass time messing around with it to a point where I was very comfortable with all the joints and snaps before I tried the combined mode.

Before you move the legs together are the green flaps themselves in recesses that match their shape? I've seen some where people had 2 of the same flap or it was backward or something so it didn't fit completely. Also some people may not have had the arm rotated right so the full length of the recess was there. I'm the same as Napalm where I never had a problem.

Being as mine came at the same time as all the combiner wars stuff, it was put in combined form and stuck on a shelf.

Today, I disassembled it and transformed it back into robot mode, then into vehicle mode for the first time.

The transformation is a bit annoying, but not hard and I managed to do it without instructions - then it becomes a lot easier with a couple of goes.

It is a really great 3rd party figure, and quite an achievement for what it does.

One question, the metal spike panels on Onslaughts thighs rotate - is that for any purpose?

Yes -- they swing down in torso mode and help lock the Combiner pelvis in place. They don't peg on or tab into anything, but what they do do is prevent any lateral motion of Onslaught's shoulders. All the problems people are having with the green shoulder flaps pushing the pelvis apart go away once those are rotated into place.

I wish MBC would tells us if there will be any recolors already. I am game for for Takara and G2 versions and definitely want Impactor.

Highly doubtful. It seems they've taken the same vow of silence Fansproject has and brought it to a new level :p  Pisses me off, but sadly it is what it is. It's now a game of wait and hope.

    Ahhhhh thanks.

Never realised that, as the pelvis stayed toegther for me mostly fine.

Ace, thank you. When I transform him back into combined mode, I will remember that! Cannot believe I missed it before!

Hmm, wonder if it's possible for any third party companies to approach the designer about buying the design and releasing a second version with fixes on the common issues and better quality plastic.

I'm only asking this because in one of the Chinese reviews, the reviewer seems to have suggested that this particular designer is more or less independent and sought out a company to put out this design.

EASY!!!!... Just take the right like (Swindle) and click the hip joint (aka upper leg joint) one click back. The pose is PERFECT. Really, Clicking swindles leg one click back does NOT create a strange pose, both lower parts of the leg are still straight. It's almost seems as if it was DESIGNED to pose in this manner. TRY IT. It actually looks perfect. Will take pictures later. Try for yourself.

Are there any tips for tightening the combiner joints?

Trying to pose mine, the problem isn't really with the Microblaze set, but the combiner joints on Swindle and Brawl.

They tend to move too easily when moving Bruticus

Not a bad idea, but I think with the combiner ports it is more about the ratchets on Brawl and Swindles combiner pegs not being designed for the weight.

Very much so. There are a few issues, yes. But the combined mode is worth it.
