I printed some more micro-mini-figs, this time based on Rewind and Rumble/Frenzy. The images below shows how they turned out in Shapeways' full-color-sandstone process (with some kreons thrown in for scale). Some of the other TFW members have printed these in plastic and hand-painted them to great effect, but I don't trust my hand enough for that...so I wimped out and ordered them in the sandstone.
wow! those look incredible for being so small! and good job on shape ways part for the great color. Do they have a little peg hole in the bottom? and how do they seem?
I have always wondered about 3D Printing stuff for transformers and these custom builds. these are pretty neat little figures and well executed.
This version does not have the peg hole. Full-color sandstone is very fragile, so I wouldn't want to risk trying to peg it. I have a plastic version of the Frenzy/Rumble, though, and that includes an extended 3mm clip hand as well as a peg port. Thanks and thanks! It's pretty fun to get something in your mailbox that only existed in your head just a week or two earlier. (And you feel a lot more productive than spending a night crafting armor in Skyrim.)
