Mine just showed up now I need 3 Reflectors and maybe Jetfire and I'm good!
I saw 3 sets of the Blackjack/Hyperdrive Micromasters at Carptenter road Target in Ypsi. Nothing else new. Waiting for my Jetfire to ship from Amazon. It says he'll arrive tomorrow, but I haven't even been charged for him yet.
Not to be mean or anything, but it's been really nice having Transformers I want on Pre-order, no hunting needed. I got Galaxy Prime, Smashdown, and Caliburst on Monday and Springer today. Thundercracker is up next.
same for me, i only look for tfs at b&m stores if im there for another item. i almost exclusively buy online anymore. friday is a good day, redwing, springer, brunt, red alert and reflector will all be here and jetfire next week. but i read thundercracker and omega were pushed back to october.
Back during TR I found that just having everything I wanted preordered kinda took the fun out of it. I enjoy hunting for things I only order things online now if it something that I really want (like Springer), but otherwise I enjoy the feeling of finally finding something in the wild over it just arriving at my door with no effort.
I lost the urge to hunt for them years ago. i know what you mean about the excitement. to many empty runs. at one point i was at about 1300 transformers, down to about 8 or 900 now im burnt out with the hunt. i found a really good guy i deal online with. the pre orders also guarantee i get it. although i do enjoy when i do find them at the store and i can cancel the pre order.
I agree. I've started using Walmart.com, Hasbro, and Amazon. If these local businesses REFUSE to stock their shelves, we are going online now.
Target has Battle Masters on clearance for $2.98. I've only see wave 1 at any Target I've been to. Meijer has Battle Masters on clearance for $4.19 and Micromasters on clearance for $6.99. Ann Arbor/Saline Rd Meijer has a ton of Wave 2 Micromasters.
I've been known to love a good sale, but man, this line is suppossed to last til October or November? This isn't a great sign. Guess we'll all be ordering the last few figures from Siege online. Can't hunt in stores for what won't be there.
You guys should watch this.
Dan nails it. The action figure industry IS broken..and he runs down the distribution..etc. one thing he says that I really like is to make them "non returnable items".
I think the shitstorm that would come from parents is enough to never allow this to happen.
Edit: If say Target did this, they would likely only include the toys in the entertainment section. So Neca, Funko and the likes.
It only seems to be the smaller size classes so deluxe and up will still be available.
The bright side is that the smaller class assortments could end up at secondary retilers for the Holidays, like Kroger. But I really like the Micros and Battle Masters, so it's a bummer. Still haven't seen the wave 2 Masters anywhere.
I wasn't able to watch this last night, but just did now. Yeah I agree, he's pretty spot on about it all. I just don't agree about limited returns, and maybe FSS models and "all in" buying as viable options.
Come to Lansing we have the Rescue Patrol all over (but ravage and Laserbeak have all vanished).
Picked up a SS-38 from the Okemos Target, and I also hit up meijer and Walmart over there and there was nothing else interesting.
Carpenter Road Meijer had a bunch of Smashdowns and Caliburst. I bought 1 Smashdown.
rumor has it, the siege skywarp and g2 sideswipe battle packs will be open to order next week. just no confermation on who is selling...so we shall see if its true.
Lake Lansing road meijer has one SS-38 Optimus.
AA/Saline Rd Target has 1 Galaxy Force Prime and 1 Springer.
