There’s an R-Rated, “Very Quentin” Idea for the 'Transformers’ Bumblebee Movie We’ll Never See This is very interesting. I'd be up for it, if only because it's a different direction. Bee is decidedly not an R-rated character, but if they could build an R-rated story and environment around him, it could/would work.
I don't see this happening, but if they were going to do an r rated tf movie, I'd rather see something with the wreckers (but not the 3 from dotm)
"You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese on cybertron?" "They don't call it a quarter pounder with cheese?" "No man, they got the robot system. They wouldn't know what the fuck a quarter pounder is." "Does he look like a bee-otch?!"
I'll be honest. There is NO way in hell that's gonna happen, but if I ever live to see the day an R-rated TF movie comes out, I'm gonna go see it just so I can laugh at how dark it tries to be.
A dialog between bee and zombie cliffjumper Directed by tarantino Bip biip bip biiip Yaaar argh drooling aargh Bip bip biip Argh argh raaaar Bip bip bip bip. And after two hours of dialogs the movie ends
I'd be incredibly disappointed if something like that had happened. There's just no need or place for it. We have enough questionable content from other sources, let's not make everything disgusting.
i think an r-rated tf film could work..if you look at all of bay's films...there is practically no nudity (only that scene in bad boys 2 with the dead woman's breasts)...he is not a gory director..his films are generally very clean..they are borderline r at best so i think this could work & as deadpool showed, the climate is right to start graduating these franchises that have been around for decades now & have them mature with audiences that have been attached to them for just as long. and this would be another way to keep bay creatively satiated as he seemed to express some interest in the concept
